I mean it's just common sense. A lot of laptops are wide-screen now, gaming enthusiast
are hooking their computers to a hdtv yet they are many games that still don't support
wide-screen resolutions or just stretch the image to fill the screen. Rainbow six vegas comes
to mind, the game is a port of xbox 360 game that was designed for wide-screen, yet you still
can't have a wide-screen view. This the kind of thing makes me hate pc gaming. You will always
have to google your way to a solution that should be provided by developer.

The 360 is killing PC gaming. Its sad but true. Double Agent was a bug infested game which should never have been released in it's state.

Huh?

Ubisoft is creating their main franchises on the 360 first then sloppily porting them over to the PC with minimal optimisation or graphical options.

I think it's a pretty minor issue. Ubisoft is kind of guilty of sloppy ports all across the board, like Farcry on Wii. I hardly say anyone is responsible for killing anyone else.

So why are you blaming the 360? Last time I checked Ubisoft and Microsoft are 2 different companies. Why do people feel that they have to blame Microsoft for everything? And this has been a problem WAAY before the 360 even launched. Widescreen monitors have been available for quite awhile now...EA is another company that is guilty of this. NFS: Carbon doesn't have widescreen options either.

well you can get a fix for that for RB6: Vegas, right hereZimpanX

Does that patch fix the field of view or those is just add wide-screen resolutions.

Yes, ea is guilty too most of their games don't have native wide-screen solutions. Some
of them can be fixed by using patch and registry hacks but common, I could understand
that for an old game but for a new one, it's just not acceptable. The most funny thing is
EA saying that they didn't add widescreen to bf 2142 because people were complaining
that it was cheating. Give me a break.

they work fine except for the facts there is a little glitch when using thermal/nightvision as the black parts of your view doesn't adjust properly to the screen though you won't notice aslong as you don't think about it

Yea, that really Pis*es me off, they may as  well ban gamers mice and good graphics cards if they are going to make an excuse up for widescreen... it just shows their lazyness

None ever complained about widescreen on Counter Strike and many other games

As long as Ubi continues to make and publish great PC exclusives I don't really care about the crappy ports they make

no, just sloppy non xbox port. FarCry: Instincts was awesome on the xbox (but then they had to kill it remaking it 4 times)- it got a  9.2 " Far Cry Instincts is even better than its PC predecessor, and it's one of the best Xbox shooters ever."- from  the gamespot review
