its got something to do with the fact that the wii is offering a new and different home console experience, all with a console design that is attractive and a user interface that is easy to use for anybody

and of course price has got something to do with it too

but anybody who thinks its ONLY because of the price is clueless.

price, if the ps3 or the 360 was at $250 or less they would sell just about the same or more than the wii.. i know the wii has innovation and stuff but i read somewhere(sorry no link maybe someone in this thread can provide one) that only 10% of wii owners have never owned a console before so basically the wii is stealing ex-ps2 owners.Tactis

Technically the Wii has only outsold the 360 in Japan by those numbers. If we were going by the crazy US presidential election system, Wii would have the popular vote but 360 would have more electoral votes, and thus still be winning.

LOZ, Paper Mario,rayman, Prince of persia, trama ctr...they are out there but man after owning a Wii for a month I coulden't wait to get rid of it, just not my kind of thing.

i like the 360 and ps3 designs myself

but for casuals and non-gamers, i'd think they'd prefer the small sleek console design of the wii over the big and clunky designs of the 360 and ps3

i'd also think the controller design of the wii to be much more attractive to casuals and non-gamers than that of the 360/ps3

bad comparison the ps2 has like what 40% more games available than the GC? even if you are a complete fanboy you cant say the wii has the game advantage over the 360 the only thing that is separating them mainly is the price(yes yes motion sensing is great however is 90% of people who bought the wii owned a console before i am pretty sure they don't care because they bought other consoles without motion sensing

lol no the 360 just sucks, in the charts PS3 is beating 360 also, if 360 and PS3 released same time 360 would have been owned, and the wii is like the IPOD, its not the greatest thing, but its a fad
