Ehh..no one seem torespond in the other forum, sorry if i post this here

Ok...i have the premium 360, i have both component and Vga cable . My LCD max is 1080i.

I am just wondering which cables can display up to 1080i?

If Vga, then what is the setting resolution ?(# x #)

If Component, how do adjust? 720p or 1080i? how do we know which one is being displayed?

Thnx you

Go the last blade

System

Go to display

Choose 1280x720 if you want 720p

And 1920x1080 if you want 1080p

Your best bet is 720p if your display supports it.

Through component, its the same steps, but you choose from 720p,1080i, or 1080p instead of 1280x720, etc..

You can do 1080p, 1080i, and 720p through either component or VGA. Try both and see what you like better. On my 1080p LCD, I think the VGA cable looks better.

A benefit of the VGA cable is that DVDs will be upscaled to 1080p. They will only be 480p if using the component cable.

See if your LCD has a menu where it will tell you the current resolution being sent to it if you want to confirm the resolution.

It depends on your TV, but they are very much alike. You will hardly notice a difference. Just try them out to see which one you like better.
