I never got a chance to play ICO last gen but Shadow of the Colossus is one of my all time favourite game. Since both games are made by the same developer I was wondering if it's comparable to SOTC. I heard that Last Guardian is going to be like ICO but the trailer looked weird. So is ICO as good as SOTC and is the Last Guradian worth getting hyped for? Because from the trailers I have seen of the Last Guardian it looks just like an average platformer.

Two of the best games last gen. If they ever make a collection I highly suggest you buy it. Or you can probably get ICO on ebay for cheap. Definite classics.

Better. You don't have to deal with riding some bull**bleep** horse for half the game. Combat is kind of terrible, though, but at least it's a minor part of Ico.

Im a fan of shadow more, but ico is still an amazing game and should not be passed up if you have the chance to play it. Ico is more about puzzles which i really like but if your not into them i would still say play it anyways.

They are both cool, they both won awards, and gained a cult status.

ICO (pronounced EECO) was fun but these games are different.

Also, both games are in the same universe, I won't say more than that, but that's pretty neat too.

Sorry, I pronounce it eye-co.

And they are both of my favorite games, wish I had bought Ico way back when I had a ps2 instead of renting it.

That's how it reads in English, and that's how I used to pronouce it too, until the game creator Fumito Ueda, his development team, and Sony showed me the way to pronounce their oddly spelled title correctly.

To think, I was mispronouncing it for so long a time! :P

They call it EECO, but it's silly that they couldn't just have made it easier for us westerners by spelling the game differently or something.

The "I" used in ICO is like the "I" in "kiwi," not "identical."

I've always pronounced it Ick-o, which I suppose is a backwards way that ended up being rather close to the actual way of pronouncing it.

The only thing they share is the artstyle. ICO felt like a complete game, while SOTC felt like a series of bosses. I enjoyed them both immensely, but I'd probably say I prefered ICO. But whatever you do, DO NOT MISS OUT ON IT. ICO is an amazing experience.
