What do you think Nintendo will do to keep the Wii competitive when the PS3 suddenly becomes this machine that is not only fully HD enabled with vastly superior graphics, and just more powerful/advanced in general, but also has dual Wand motion controllers and plays games in 3D?
Same with Xbox 360 in many ways, once Natal is released, and it's likely Microsoft will embrace 3D support too just to keep pace with Sony.
Do you think Nintendo even needs to do anything?

The problem with Sony's and MS' motion controls is that they were late to the game. Nintendo introduced the console with motion controls, meaning 100% of the userbase has motion controllers. The other consoles, on the other hand, will have significant problems in a) getting people to buy the motion controllers on top of the controllers they already have and b) getting developers to make games that will feature motion controls.
The PS3 and the 360 already have a lower user count than the Wii, and the percent that will get the motion controls will likely be a minority in what is already a small population (relative to the Wii). I'm interested in seeing what incentives they plan on giving so people buy these motion controllers.
To sum it up, I don't think Nintendo has any cause for concern.
That is very true. I do not think Nintendo is really worried about much. I would hope they are working on NEW IP. New adventure game, with Zelda (the charter not the game), Peach, or other female lead. Some new charters, not King Kopa, Wario, someone new and bad. An additional Mature games in the terms of Eternal Darkness. I had such high hopes after that game came out I thought IP would be gushing out. Even a Clank or Wallie type robot would be nice.
Well, about Sony, the eye toy sold well on PS2. Ya think they would have tried to come out with the wand a long time ago since the Eye toy was so popular. ...
As for MS a HC FPS console... I just do not see that selling well. Xbox fans seem to be the main ones complaining about it.
We will see where the chips fall next year.
