I won't. I often cannot stand talking in games unless its a team based tactical game and my teammates are actually mature, which is rare.SpruceCabooseWhen I play on Xboxlive I usually just turn off my Microphone because I don't like talking to people I don't know also I don't like when I'm talking to somebody and I can hear my voice through their Microphone because they are sitting too close to the tv.
By speaking to them :| I will play Brawl far more in local multiplayer than online :P. I can't say I chat much playing fighters on xbox live, although I have had a couple of convos I guess but I think chat is more important for shooters or rpgs.cslineyWhenever I play Melee I'm talking to the people around me and having a big conversation but I'm still kind've thinking of what to do next I'm just talking about anything and strategizing sometimes, it helped me in School because I can think about two different things at once, One is just in my head and the other is what I'm talking about.
I was just curious. Trash talk is a must in a fighting game.DiGiTal-PiMp
Actually, no it isn't. I mute anyone not on my friends list on xbl and the last guy that talked trash in a fighting game with me got a cigarette put out on his leg. Trash talk takes most of the fun out of any game.
Why would I need to? There's not much team strategy involved. Not every game with online play is Halo or Call of Duty.Video_Game_KingTheres some Strategy when your playing as a Team, but there isn't any Team Strategy when your playing buy yourself, because I always use a Strategy when I'm playing on a Team it is usually I say I will take one person they take the other and if I need help I say I need help if they need help they say they need help and we work as a Team most of the time.

There's times when you grab somebody and your teamate could get on the other side of a opponent and spam A attacks with characters like Link or Shiek to rack up damage until they accidently stop tapping A, without being able to talk, your teamate wouldn't know whether you were going to throw the opponent or wait for him.

Most people aren't going to be using teams for this game.
Turning to my friend and talk out of my mouth.
Seriously??? What happened to people going to a buddy's house and just playing a video game for a few hours? Are people too concerned about online play that playing with your friends in front of the same tv with the same console became obsolete? Do "gamers" have any real friends anymore or do they just add people from halfway across the world because they see each other online a lot? The reason SSBM was awesome for me is because we can gather around together in the middle of our busy schedules just to do something fun TOGETHER ALL AT THE SAME PLACE.
Maybe I'm just an old school gamer, or maybe I'm not keeping up with the times. But video games aren't just gameplay and graphics for me. It's about the time I spend playing the game with my buddies.
by kicking them in the headlinkin_guy109
pretty much, not much need for voice chat in SSBB. just KILL!!!!
I find playing vs games with friends over any period of time ends badly because it gets too heated. That's why I like versus online where I can turn off the mic and not get too emotionally invested.
That's why I think spitscreen co-op in GH and Gears is so important.
here's how...
Step one:
Meet children on online website. Be sure to name yourself "pikafan22" or "marioluvr" Convince them you are 12 years old, and just want to have a friendly game of Smash Bro.
Step two:
Befriend them, chat with them, use lots of LOLz and OMG Wut? Ask for shirtless photos. It's totally legal.
Step three:
Ask if you can come over to Smash them I mean play them in Smash. When you arrive, be sure to drink the water Chris Hanson offers you.
well i guess that doesn't help you play smash but whatever
