How would you rate PS4's 2018?

No racing games from Sony instant fail 0/10.

A solid 8/10 - Great

I would say a solid 8 for God of The Year, Of course Yakuza, DQ and shout out to bluepoint for revisiting the Colossus. I have also enjoyed GTS progress this year. Legit competitive racer for motorsport fans. Sounds like its going to be an ongoing game. improvements coming next year from the official competition. I feel like if I had VR it would be an easy 10 cause there some games there. Still an expensive enhancement, need a bit more to get there.

At least an 8 to have AAA's like Spider-Man and god of war in the same year was huge.

Even as a diehard sheep I gotta give it a 9/10.

I’d say a really solid 8/10 for me. There was a good selection of really good games that came out that I want to play. The most notable ones were:

- Spider-Man

- Dragon Quest XI

Yakuza kiwami 2 was great, but I thought Yakuza 6 was a little disappointing the story was really predictable.

I gave it a 7/10, which is a good score, or at least it used to be; these days it seems to me that everything below 9 is bad. Stupid world we live in.

@SecretPolice: you must really like sea of thieves, horizon and state of decay 2 if you think PS4 is boring. Everything else in your library for this year can be found on ps4

Seriously, seems PS4 had a pretty great year for their fans. If I had more time for gaming and or wanted to game more like in my past, I would have very likely snagged that $199.99 SM bundle.

For my personal taste, it was a pretty bad year.

The only PS4 exclusive game that I cared about this year was a remake of a PS2 game and while it was alright, I still ended up preferring the original PS2 game over the PS4 remake for it's better atmosphere. It's other exclusives were just movie-games that I don't give a damn about and it's multiplats were better played on Xbox One. Combine that with a really awful E3 presentation that failed to give me any excitement for the future of the PS4 plus the one formerly PS4 exclusive that was still giving me a reason to own the console going multiplat this year, and that was enough to push me over the edge into finally selling my PS4 this year.

This year I bought Castlevania: Requiem, Fist of the North Star, God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man, Red Dead Redemption 2, Shadow of the Colossus, Yakuza 6, Yakuza Kiwami 2, physical editions of Sonic Mania Plus and Shenmue I & II for collection purposes, got an extra copy of Bloodstained: Curse of the Moon as a kickstarter bonus, plus I imported Ryu Ga Gotoku: Ishin! (Yakuza: Ishin) from Japan.

Yeah, I'd rate it 10/10, lol.

I can't speak for other systems since i only have a PS4, but 2018 was probably my favourite year in videogames ever. So many amazing big and small games it was ridiculous! 10/10 obviously.

On the verge picking up the ps4. You can't deny it has delivered this year

7/10 as far as exclusives,

i really enjoyed spiderman, best web mechanics in a spiderman game ever, this game was the real highlight for ps4 imo this year.

God of War i thought was overrated i had issues with it, i didn't like not having a jump button, the puzzles were boring, the boss fights were boring, too many trolls. It did not feel like a hack n slash game, which is why i liked the series in the first place. The story was good but i dont really care about story as much as the mechanics. They changed the mechanics to where it doesnt feel like God of war imo but i different franchise.

PS4 was a 1/10 for me. Just another horrible year to be a PS4 owner. Dad of War was my least favorite game, Spider-Flop flopped hard. It's like Sony just gave up on gaming entirely. Too much focus on Games as a Service. I don't like that they went entirely Multiplatform either. PS4 loses easily.

Solid 9/10 with the games, updates, and services.

10/10. Tons of great exclusives, new ip's, deals on the playstation store.... good time to be alive.

Well, you remember wrong! You may remember me prefering the 360 over the competition, and having valid arguments to support it, but that doesn't make a 'huge 360 fanboy' :P
