how would you rate the PS3'S exclusives?

i think they are actuallyhurting themselves by releasing new IP'S. nobody wants to take a chance on original games when the call of duties and maddens are out there. still, i think they have a strong 1st party line-up that has been overlooked bylems and sheep.

the top games are uncharted, ratchet, and resistance. all are in the high 8's on gamerankings.com and still have a chance to break 9.

motorstorm and heavenly sword are great games in the low to mid 8's. motorstorm has alot of downloadable content that should raise the score. sword is to dang short.

warhawk is a highly rated game theat is around 8.5.

F1 is a great game but a niche game.

folklore, genji, and dark kingdom are good rentals that are worth playing. some peeps really like folklore.

then there is lair. i havent played it but i can only imagine. and their sports titles are getting a little better. baseball looks freakin sweet!

this is a great line-up. its better then microsoft did its first year with the 360. and it beats nintendo because nintendo didnt have anything other then zelda (its getting old). warioware and strikers was about it til paper mario came. metroid and galaxy came real late. i can sse sheep saying they had a better 1st year but sony has as much quality and more to choose from.

i give them a solid 8. and the sales (contrary to rumors have been solid).

Uncharted, WarHawk, Resistance, and R&C are fantastic games and among my favorites of this generation.

Microsoft built its gaming empire off of new IPs.

But I give Sony's exclusives a 10, I've enjoyed each and every one. Some more than others, but all of them have been good so far. I can't wait for '08's batch to hit my PS3.

I'm actually happy they are taking a chance with so many new IPs. It's a new generation it's a good time to try out some things. Would PS3 be doing better if it had gran Turismo, FF, MGS, Wipeout, SOCOM, etc at launch?? I think so, but at the same time it gave games like Resistance, Motorstorm, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword, etc.. a chance to prove themselves and establish a new franchise. I personally had a blast with all the games I mentioned.

ratchet future is almost the same thing as it's previous editions in the past it's basically ratchet deadlocked in hd except future is a little better

10/10 for games coming in 2009

But that does not apply to any 2008 games, bar maybe MGS4 and Resistance 2

I think Resistance is great, haven't played Crysis so I won't judge it but my friend has it, he would rather play COD4. I hear the multiplayer is pretty boring, only thing good about the game is the single player, he told me it was amazing. Team Fortress 2 was pretty fun, so are COD4 and Halo 3 but the only thing that seperates them is the community and weapons. It all comes down to preference.

By the way, don't you think it's a bit unfair to compare a 2006 launch title to 2007 titles?

That's pretty much the problem in a nutshell, the quality of gamng in 2007 was atoundingly high, and the PS3 exclusives just didn't cut it.

The PS3 has MGS4 in 2008, but I honestly can't think of any other games coming out for it that will be of the same calibur.

Well looking at my blog , I reckon so far the exclusives released I rate at 8/10 because most are new IP's which are great.

Upcoming exclusives I would rate 10/10, I mean come on, PS3 has the best excluives coming out this year. MGS4 nuff said.

That's subjective though...

As an RPG fan, the 360's lineup looks a hell of a lot better than the ps3's this year.

360: Fable 2, Lost Odyssey, Cry On, Infinite Undiscovery, Too Human

vs.

ps3: White Knight Chronicles....and Disgaea 3 if they ever decide to release it in N.America.

If you're not into FPS' (like me), the ps3's lineup is actually pretty weak after MGS4. :(

Sony are a bit up themselves but i still think the games are as exhiting as they used to be. 360 exclusives are disappointing. Out of the 3 AAA Exclusives Halo 3 (not for long maybe), Forza 2 and PDZ i am pretty much mythed that i bought a 360. What is the point, why not just get a pc? its cheaper because the machine pays for itself with budget price games and free online with dedicated servers.

Anyway this is about sony's exclusives, Resistance 2 looks like a huge game that may pan out even better than the last one. Also theres Killzone 2 that looks like a vast improvement despite what halo noobs say. GT5, i like forza better as a whole but this one may change my mind. Uncharted, playing this for the first time tonight, its going to eat my eyes with its awesomeness.

7.5/10. Some great titles but nothing that has really wowed me. For reference I would have scored the Wii a 8/10 and the 360 an 8.5/10.PBSnipes

Though, for multiplats it goes 6.5 - Wii, 8.5 - PS3 9 - 360.

6.5 because it got a few PS2 multiplats and is getting Okami.

It's also a problem with plurals. He said "exclusives" and he only mentioned one. One =/= many.
