Wouldn't care too much. I'm mainly a handheld gamer, and so far Sony has shown me that they don't know anything, and Nintendo already released the worst DS yet.
I'd be pretty excited simply because I'm curious about what the next generation consoles will be like.
In your opinion, but so far in more opinions the dsi is far better than all of the other onesWouldn't care too much. I'm mainly a handheld gamer, and so far Sony has shown me that they don't know anything, and Nintendo already released the worst DS yet.

I hope these consoles last at least another two years each. These current gen consoles still need to grow their libraries out!
I would not be happy. But I really can't see that happening anytime soon. It's hard to imagine them making consoles that are significantly more powerful than the current gen (other than Nintendo) and even if they do I highly doubt the difference would be worth the money. I think the next gen of consoles will be true 3D. I think this gen could go at least 8 years from the release of the 360, likely more.
If any of the 3 does that, I hope later on they fire the person/s responsible for that.rogerjakI think pretty much the entire company would have to be "responsible" for it.

I would consider the companies involved foolish.

Me too, as it would be way too soon. I'd feel a bit ripped off, to be honest.
that's what the osborne effect is.I don`t want a new system until these games come out:
If this gen won`t last for at least for 3-4 years, screw this, I`m joining the "superior" PC gamer`s race.
o ya just like what happened with the ps2  The PS2 is what is called The Exception to the Rule. If a new console was announced for the next year to two years, I would be disappointed. The jump in technology would be greatly appreciated, but virtual obsoletion of several hundred dollars worth of hardware is never a welcome thing. I expect future consoles to have extensive backwards compatibility, which will soften the blow, but I still won't be ready for a new console for at least another 3 years.[QUOTE="tbone29"]If it means that the current consoles are on their way out, I'd be pretty pissed.Mike885
The difference is with consoles you play catch-up once every 5-10 years, while with a PC you are always playing catch-up. I'm not knocking PC gaming, it's my favorite platform... but the reality is that it ends up costing just as much, if not more, keeping a PC up to current standards.I don`t want a new system until these games come out:
Assassin`s Creed 3Condemned 3Metal Gear Solid 6GTA 5Elder Scrolls 5Final Fantasy XVUncharted 3If this gen won`t last for at least for 3-4 years, screw this, I`m joining the "superior" PC gamer`s race.

i'd be annoyed/pissed actually... i still believe we shouldnt see any next-gen consoles release priormid 2011..
I'd be super excited to learn more about them..... I can't wait to see what kind of visuals the next gen consoles will give us.
honestly i would be pissed.
1. this gen is no where near maxed out in graphics, gameplay elements and stuff
2. games are still getting better, i'm not trying to sit through another couple of years before games get good again with a new console
3. the recession means no new console in my future
4. i spent a lot of money this gen (actually came out of my pocket this time around) im still trying to get my money's worth
