with MGS so close i was just contemplating how solid snake is going to go out and that got me wondering would be peoples perfect ending to the main chacarcter of mastercheif or mario and other old favorites. For me i would kinda want them to go out in death(maybe not mario for obvious reasons) but i'd be awsome if they made the death meaningful and beautiful. but thats just me. what do you guys think? death, life, cliffhanger of uncertainty, or something completley different
My theory is snake dies in an explosion, with hundreds of nukes flying everywhere killing billion of civilians and in the end all that remains is Drebin's monkey who founds a civilization of apes who all dress up as Solid Snake.

Although the story of Halo 3 wasnt really amazing, but the way it ended was good.

Finished the series, but leaves some hope of a sequel in the future.

The best way to go out in games is to retire man. Why? Because it always give the possibility of him coming back.
In bed and in his sleep surrounded by his loved ones and maybe all the old bosses could stop by to pay their final respects. In between cut-sceens you could monitor his IV drip change his bedpans and give him the occasional painkiller.
Kratos - Cant die he is a god. He might just sleep for years with 10 women in his bed AWESOME!
Master Chief - Just as he saves the world he is crushed by the big Brumak from GeoW 2 ouch
Marcus Fenix - Kills by way of chainsaw the Brumak that just crushed MC only to be decapitated by RAGE from Beauty and the Beast unit.
Solid Snake - Destroys the Beauty and the Beast Unit than looks for a safe spot gets his carton box out to hide inside only to be stompd on by Bowser squash!
Mario Bro - Kills of Bowser saves the princess a year goes by princess has been pregnant and has a boy that looks like Luigi Mario gets pissed they brawl think SSB style brawl and you get a double KO.
I want for all the loss and pain and struggle to be for nothing. The bad guy wins. You put up a good fight but ultimately it just wasn't enough.

Totally agree, why are no game developers brave enough to kill the main character you've played as at the end of the game. Just shows how money hungry they are, always want to leave it open to a sequel...

Duke Nukem - At the end of his next game they should lure him to an island filled with naked women and while he is distracted drop a couple of nuclear warheads.... Then distroy the whole planet, just to be sure.... Dont forget to turn the sun into a super blackhole, you can never be too safe...
