There is something about heavenly sword that i like better than halo 3. as far as the overall game goes, i do enjoy halo 3 alot more, but there is some technical thing that Heavenly sword does alot better.

if i am on any stage in heavenly sword, like the level where its just a vast army, all the enemies already exist in the game, all the items and things in the game are already there. In halo3 unfortunately if i am really far away from something, it wont exist but then it will be drawn in.

an example of this would be in halo 3 when your at the 2nd scarab, there are a bunch of explosives that are on the walkway to the right that as you drive closer to them in the tank, they suddenly draw themselves into the game.

Whereas everything in hevenly sword just... exists... while lair sucked, it had this feature in the game aswell.

for lack of a better word (i am not too techy) i have always had a pet peeve when it comes to draw distances, if there is one thing that can snap me out of being into a really good game is poor draw distance. I am left only to conclude that the ps3 is better at this than 360.

If anyone asks, i have N3 on 360 and yes full armies are there, but there like shadow blurs from afar and are drawn in as u get closer, unlike heavenly sword where there all running around and cheering from far away.

Is this what blue ray adds to gaming, storage space, is this the fact that the ps3 is using a hdd? I am curious as to know what exactly is giving the ps3 this edge over the 360

They are both shallow games with blinding HDR lighting to make up from their lack of substance but at least Halo 3 has an online mode.

Heavenly sword is good, but Halo has a lot more in it. The value for money is immense.

HS is great. But VERY different from Halo3.. There is POP-up in a lot of games. i reality the levels in Heavenly sword are really small.

They are arena's. while in Halo3, the levels are far bigger.

Sorry i fast read your post. Bue ray is indeed giving or going to give the PS3 a edge over the xbox 360 storage space is defiantly one, alot of devs have already said they used up all the space on normal DvD disk while blueray has no problems.

Nothing gives PS3 the 'edge' over 360, seeing as the PS3's hardware is needlessly complex for already time/resource pushed devs to deal with, most games get rushed and teh cell doesn't help it really. PS3 has the hardware to do good looking games, but its the way the industry works (and one of the many things sony have lost touch with) that hinders the PS3s capabilities.

They are both totally different games. Might as well compare Forza 2 to Halo 3.

Draw distances don't depend on storage space as far as I know it, I think it's mostly GPU taxing, tho I guess the HDD could help with it if the data is streamed through it somehow, but really only thing that I'm pretty sure about is that BR doesn't mean better draw distances. Mostly it depends on how the game is made, I would imagine the same game will have similar draw distance on both platforms.

wtf are u people even reading his post, he makes a very good example, heavenly sword no pop ins, ratchet and clank no pop ins, lair non pop ins even though there is so much going on with some big draw distances there are no pop ins at all, and hes asking why ps3 games are doing this a lot better than the 360 at the moment, because yes halo 3 does have a lot of pop ins while I cant remember resistance having any??

the draw distance in HS is not accesable. you fight in small arena's. after a cutscene you can enter the next area.

Ummm.... what version of Halo3 are you all playing.... cuz I haven't seen any Pop-in at all, I know that it does.... cuz i watched the Special Edition DVD about the development of the game..... So I'm well aware of how it works.... but I played through the entire game more than once and never once seen an Enemy just appear on screen.

It must be the harddrive that is letting it store info or something, the ps3 games i have played... hs and lair and resistance are so awesome because of no pop ins, it really feels like you are in the world

Oblivion had huge draw distances on the 360 so I doubt it's the format.

You can see fights going on miles out into the distance. The draw distance is massive.

Dunno what your complaining about.

Here's a simple theory..

9.5 > 8.0? Yeah? Ok.

God of War OWNS HS.......... I have no idea where people can even make a comparison!

I like both games but i'll have to disagree with you TC. Halo 3 has alot more to it than just a SP campaign. That alone gives it the edge. I haven't touched HS since i beat it and i'm still playing Halo 3 even though i beat the SP campaign.

I've also noticed no pop up in Halo 3, I think the TC fanboy goggles are malfunctioning.
