[QUOTE="ZumaJones07"]consoles will always be better because you can easily hook it up to a tv and play games in your living room with friends as opposed to by yourself in your room.lundy86_4
Eh, split-screen has dipped drastically this gen due to online.
Which is a shame, especially with the racing genre, I can't understand why some series didn't have it this gen.A cheaper pc that lasts 10 years and still is able to play the latest games...Hydra1234
No, they it will not be a true pc experience. It will be a console, not a pc. I don't want the same graphics for 10 years.
Would you guys be happy if say, Microsoft or Sony released a platform that had both positive attributes of PC and console gaming? Like, providing both keyboard mouse support along with the controller to play certain games. PC already offers this. Also, having no DRM or any of that restricting bollocks? Neither PC or consoles offer this nor will they. Providing digital downloads for those who want to play retro games? Both PCs and Consoles(To a degree) offer this already. Will this end the platform war? NoHydra1234

Have you seen some of the PC games lately? They haven't been that good looking and erm...still use primitive technology...PC graphics haven't progressed at all to be fair.>Saw Tc's level

Low level posters are allowed to make threads aslong as they are useful to system wars and not troll threads.

Wrong. Looks at level and post count...yeah...you aren't any different or far off from me...If choosing between a PC and console was difficult, yes; however I use my PC for school/design work and other things so it's much more versatile (which a lot of people like to ignore when crying about how expensive "gaming" is). It's a tough thing because I would like a more PC console but not a "crap PC" - so to speak. But for others who have to choose between console and PC I think it'd be good.

That's not the point. You have to be lvl 10 to create a thread in system wars. You can reply in a thread at any level
[QUOTE="meetroid8"]PC can already do anything a console can. lowe0Can? Yes. Does? No. A PC that could deliver the ease of use of a console wouldn't be very popular, successful, or even useful as a general-purpose PC.
Pssss... Hey buddy, macintosh
I think that explains modern consoles. Unlike last gen, today's consoles have significant online usage and gameplay built in, hard drives out of the box (except for the Xbox 360 arcade unit and Wii of course), patches and updates to software and games, and various other former PC exclusive features while still retaining the ease of use and hardware longevity consoles are known for. I can't see them changing it much more next gen except trying to go a little further in both directions I guess, which is hard to imagine.
