Hyped into getting Halo 3

To be honest, I wasn't even going to buy Halo 3 for the fact that I wasn't that impressed with Halo 2. The only installment that was decent was the first halo. But then again, that's the situation with the first of everything. You can say I was hyped by everyone around me to get it. So I decided(after weeks of annoyance) to get the game and see if if it would make me believe. For the most part, I don't see how Halo 3 is THAT much better than Halo 2. The single player modewas notoriously short(beat it in around six hours). The ending had a somewhat mixed reaction.The storyline was a bit confusing. And with the graphics, this game should've been capable of playing on the original Xbox. Now I've seen next gen 1080 graphics, and what they used for Halo 3 was not next gen. The multiplayer was the main thing that was even close to keeping my attention. They added a few new features like the God mode and stuff like that. But once again, I don't believe the amount of hype this game is receiving.If it was any other game, it would've been a flop in gamer's minds. But it sells because its the Halo franchise. Now I'm not trolling the game. I was just hoping it would live up to ALL the hype its getting

Seeing as previous posts I've seen you make (according to your post histroy) included naming the PS3 the best system ever, I doubt you've played it.. kinda.

But then again, you could have just not liked Halo 3, also possible.

Anyhow, this really isn't worth debating.

To keep this on topic: Halo 3 gets alot of hype, because in alot of peoples opinion thee game is great. But obviously not everyone shares the same opinion, so some people are going to get dissapoint when they play it.

Hype is what drives sales.

Some people think it's great, some people don't, it's all down to personal preference.

I don't get how Halo 3..which is really just more of the same gets a 9.5...yet metroid..more of the same..gets an 8.5..and Bioshock...innovative...and new...gets a 9? Wow. Gamespot should be called MULTIPLAYERSPOT. lol. Cause that seems to be all it takes to push any game over the top.

It has to outscore Warhawk so at least a 9 if not better. Heck warhawk..no single player at all..still managed to get an 8.5. Wow.

I have to admit that I was a little "hyped" into buying it

I got it today (England release date) and I reckon i'll be back on vegas before the end of the week.

Halo is a great fun, frantic shooter - but it just never grips me for longer than an hour at a time max

LAIR was good though right.
