I admit ownage lemmings; I've been fighting for a lost cause.

Sigh. It was all infront of me and i chose to ignore it. And i was happy while ignoring it. Ignorance truly is bliss. The nintendo wii CANNOT satisfy me as a gamer. I CRAVE real games, and with that last E3 where reggie talked about sales and expanding the market and wii fit and soccer moms...it made me sick. I kep telling myself WAIT FOR E3 WAIT FOR E3 WAIT FOR E3...and that's what I got.

Nintendo's direction ingaming for this gen is clear; their goal is to expand the market and reel in cash with flashy gimicky peripherals like the wii mote, wii zapper, wii wheel, and wii fit scale thing. I mean I can just imagine the 65 year old grandmas going WOW I NEED THAT TO KEEP MY CHOLESTERAL DOWN WHILE HAVING FUN. I want the kind of gaming that would give that lady such a rush she got a stroke and passed out. [only to be healthily concious again a few hours later :)]

So,i looked at what else there is offered to me. A 500 dollar console good free online with games like....FF which i never rly got into...MGS which i never rly got into...Lair, heavenly sword, killzone 2 which we dont have a ton of info on. And a 400 dollar system with excellent online for about 4 bucks a month (50 bucks a year, which isn't bad because the dollar store batteries i was wasting on my wii probably was around 4 bucks a month as well) with MANY games i want like Halo 3, Gears, Mass Effect, Lost Oddesy, Naruto, Blue Dragon, Star Wars the Force Unleashed, GTA4, Fable 2, (maybe a new iteration of KOTOR)and...Oh...Em...Gee......ASSASSINS CREED. [Yeh some of the games listed are multi plat, but 360 is cheaper and better online and GTA4 and DLable content not available on the PS3)

So obviously, I chose the 360. And I don't even want the wii. It's not worth having that system around for the ONE game I really want; SSBB. [BTW no mention of SSBB online was made at E3...IS IT EVEN ONLINE? Plz answer.] So I'm selling my wii for 250-300 bucks to a poor guy who still can't find one on shelves, and i'll use that money to fund a 360 purchase with some birthday money. First game I'm gonan get is Gears.

Aiiiiitee so if you were too lazy to read all that let me summarize. The wii let me down BADLY, I'm selling it to get a 360, my first game is gonna be gears.

Lems I hope you can forgive my months of wii-defending, and that you'll accept me as one of your own. BTW what shouldI get after gears? I hear it's a shorter gamewith online that isn't so hawt...but it won GOTY2006 so im def gonna check it out, but it might not last me very long. Any suggestions for what to do after Gears? well gratz for choosing Xbox 360. i felt the same way about my wii back in march.after i beat TP, Red Steel and Exite truck i was bored with the system. so i got a job and bought a 360 in a few months.I was thinking about selling my wii but i had spent like 500 bucks for the console, games, controllers and VC games, so i decided to keep it. If your into RPGS id suggest picking up Oblivion. Its a great game that will keep you busy for hours.

o and i should add, i bought a Wii just for SSBB, and i'm keeping it for SSBB. even if it doesnt have online (God forbid) i'll still love it.

as for a recomended game, i can say splinter cell: double agent was a good one, as well as Rainbow 6: vegas. and i just played the Blue Dragon demo. i enjoyed it and am really considering buying it when it comes out.

Oblivion is awesome! I was skeptical about first person rpg but its unbelievably playable. I like swords and armor in rpgs too and oblivion doesnt dissappoint! Oblivion is a must buy!!!!!!!warbmxjohn

yea lol my xbox is still in first year bro. im not worried but it takes like a month and well at least i have something else to do

That is what you get for making the Wii you primary console. IMO the Wii makes an excellent secondary console to the 360. I am a very happy Wi60 owner.ganon546

yea i agree. i think the ps3 can be a primary console as well for current gen games when actual games comes out during holiday season and 08. the 360 is the console i use the most out of the 3.

i dont know about you guys but i am really excited for metroid prime 3 on the wii. :)

I got bored with my Wii around a month after I'd picked it up.

Nintendo really needs to hammer on the support. I own 4 Wii games. Including what I already own, there are only 6 games out right now I want.

This is what I've been saying since Wii's launch - it can't satisfy a hardcore gamer, because it doesn't provide a hardcovre immersive mindblowing experience. All my friends who got Wiis complain that it looks like crap on their HDTVs, so they stick to their real next-gen consoles.

nintendo is expanding th gaming market, but also brings out the goodies" mariokart, metroid, galaxy, etc.

i expected MORE real games though: Distaster, Pikmin3, new Kid Icarus,

A console don't cost more then a decent graphics card and have a much longer lifespan. Besides, a PC isn't suitable for genres like fighting and RPGs, so you have to own a console anyhow. The same is true for FPS and RTS on consoles. Luckily I'm not into FPSs and my old relic of a PC can play all the RTSs I'm interested in until SC2 comes out.
