Watch the full playthroughs on youtube (with gameplay/codec/cutscenes) of the previous games , it will take a long time but that is a good way to experience the games without playing them.

I have never really played the MGS series...I may have played one game back on the PS1? but I got annoyed everytime I would get detected by guards and that annoying siren sound went off lol....anyway i'm excited for MGS4 and that's why this 360 fan bought the PS3 but am I gonna be totally lost on the story?chikenfriedrice

Go to Gamespot and/or Ebgames and tell them you pre-ordered the game , but did not get your disc MGS4 preview disc. My friend just went a couple days ago and it worked. The disc recaps the whole series with videos,screenshots, naration and also a pretty informative family tree. Oh yeah it has The MGS4 trailers on it also.
