I don't get how Wii/360 are competing with God of War 3?

what games does xbox 360 or wii have that can compete with god of war 3

im talkin first party exclusives that compete in the ball park of god of war 3 and stuff like metal gear solid 4

im trying think of some games i even own a 360 an just can't 360 really jsut has nothing like it nothign even close

wii is just bad the games aren't graphically close to god of war 3 an the action blood an naked goddess's just aren't found on the wii the systems needs to mature a lil bit an stop treating ppl like little kids

the mario games just don't offer nearly as much challenge

zelda's aren't even close to as hard as god of war 3 there just not even trying anymore

If its a Hack n Slash game you want while Microsoft doesnt have any first party titles in that genre, the genre defining game this gen is Bayonetta so maybe you should try that. Do you only play first party titles? There is some cracking games out there not first party and indeed superior to first party titles.

ahh no zelda or mario game ive ever played gave me even close to this kinda challenge

i die so much its not even funny an some of the challenges

u just dont get this stuff in a mario or zelda package the games aint hard they dont push me around

some of the zelda an marios is just so easy to me its just like no competition na the graphics really bad this gen for both of those an they dont mature at all

I can't understand half of what you are saying, but what I'm getting is that the 360 doesn't have a good library, and Nintendo is too kiddy. These are really old arguments.

The quality of a game isn't based solely on graphical power, or "mature" themes. Violence, blood and sex don't necessarily make a game mature. It's true that Nintendo games often don't have the difficulty that other games have, it's because Nintendo has a wider audience and want to bring in more, rather than push away with excessdifficulty. That being said, there are levels in NSMBWii, SMG2 and DKCR that are quite challenging.

GoW3 was just a decent hack and slash game with a rather tedious story and a bad ending. Looked good though.

Lol. The creator of Bayonetta is the creator of DMC, a series that began four years before GoW was released. What do you mean nobody was impressed? As much as I love the GoW series, more than Bayonetta, it seemed to have as much spark around the net as GoW III did. And do seriously think Zelda (different genre) is worse than GoW? dmc games on ps2 destroy any god of war game anyway. they are fun, but ultimately a 3 year old just hitting the buttons repeatedly could beat it. takes no logical thought.

I always have to ask these people who like to pimp first party IP's if that is all they play? Seriously, if all you play are first party games, then you have/will be missing on some monstrous titles. Being a PS3 owner as Im assuming you are TC, if all you play are first party games, then you must not play any sports games outside of MLB The Show or FPS's outside of Killzone and RFoM and so on. Seriously, anyone who thinks that first party is what makes the world go round as far as video games goes is very ignorant!

I played GoW 3 and I simply dont see how it stands out from the likes of DMC 4, Bayonetta, Darksiders and even Dante's Inferno.

Coming from a halo fan--Halo Wars STUNK. Like going from Chess to Hungry Hippos, as far as that strategy genre is concerned. DoA4 is alright, but it hasn't been great in quite some time. As a fan of the games on the original xbox, the 360 ones feel like slapped together products. Also, GT5 is better than Forza3, imo. I figure you are trying to rile people up with the last one though, because even if you prefer Forza, it is silly to say that the ps3 doesn't have a game which competes with it.

I don't agree with that at all. Complexity, if that is even the word to describe the situation, isn't always best. Ninja Gaiden still has the best modern hack-n-slash system thus far, imo. Plus, there's more to these types of games than the combat system. Pacing is just as important.

Well, I'm not sure if they really are competing to be quite honest. I can't think of any exclusive hack/slash titles for those consoles, but I could be wrong.

nothing special about GOW3, GOW2 that's another story. till this day there is no hack and slash game that come near this masterpiece

God of War 3 sure was disappointing.

Not sure if I understood the question.

OK, Zelda is not all that hard, but at least it has some challenging puzzles and intricate dungeon design that can give the brain a little bit of a work out. God of War, by contrast, has very "light" puzzles and has mindless combat that is not the least bit challenging.

And don't even waste my time with the "play it on hard mode" argument. If a game is not hard on its normal difficulty, it's not hard.

I'd say that Ninja Gaiden Black, Bayonetta and Zelda are much deeper experiences, to the point that they make GOW look hopelessly shallow.

Zelda actually has legit puzzles that make you think about your items/tools in relation to the environment, complex, dynamic dungeons and a large fleshed-out world.

Bayonetta has an incredibly deep combat system with endless possibilities. The fighting can be as dynamic as you want it to. Compare that GOW which is unbelievably basic and pedestrian in the area of combat.

Ninja Gaiden Black (and the other Ninja Gaidens; I'm just pointing to the best game) also has a very deep combat system that takes a lot of effort on the part of the player. GOW, on the other hand, basically allows you to win fights by button mashing.

Gow 3 was the worst of the series, it turned into a mindless hack and slash with no real deep puzzles and useless murder scenes, GOW 3's worst sin is the useless murder scenes they added nothing except shock value of murdering someone in first person or near first person.
