IT was amazing back then, nostalgic today, it's an extremely well done fight with the music and the darkness. Quite the battle.

Windwaker's Ganon was better. Intense in every possible way. I mean he's actually a threat, unlike that Ocarina version.siLVURcross
I disagree, beating Ganondorf in Wind Waker was very manageable with only 3 hearts. Ganon in Ocarina of Time was quite a bit more of a challenge.

He was a walk in the park... I was seriously dissapointed with that battle TBH.
Anyway, here's my answer to this topic:

[QUOTE="painguy1"]it wasn't even close Yeh it was. The Ocean was comin' down on top you while your battling the mother ****** and you got Zelda to your left bow and arrowing him to death. That makes it 10 times more epic.Windwaker ganon wasnt as epic....
makincopies
PsychoMantis (MGS), fighting all 16 colossus in Shadow of the Colossus top the last boss fight in OoT IMO.

Well what about fighting a battle surrounded by fire, with only the megaton hammer and light arrows? That's pretty epic I think. :P

Jumping 12 feet in the air and coming down on Ganondorf's forehead with The Blade of Evil's Bane resulting in him turning into stone was way more epic.[QUOTE="sxdx89"][QUOTE="AAllxxjjnn"] Yeh it was. That was qutie possibly the most epic thing in all Zelda games... However, Link does still stab Ganon a few times in the face at the end of Ocarinas battle too.

Someone hasn't fought Physco Mantis.

As an extension to that: A certain boss fight in MGS4 managed to get that feeling from me for the first few minutes. Final boss fight of 3 and 4 also deserve mentions in just how climactic they were. I will agree with TC that Ganon was an awesome boss fight but sadly my MGS fanboy is showing today :PGame: Shadows of theCollosus
Boss: Avion (5th Collosus)

come on the ending battle in Crysis is a lot more epic then OOT.
Anyway SoC wins be defualt because all of the enemys in that game are giant bosses.

freaking hated this guy, couldnt find the last weak point for hours only to realize it becomes visible as you approach it.That boss was easy as hell. The boss fight in zero gravity was much better. The final boss in Dead Space is pretty epic.

I didn't say it was hard, just that it was epic. I'm playing through again on the unlocked difficulty, hopefully he's harder.

I'm pretty sure there are way more epic boss fights than that, even within the Zelda franchise.
Every battle of Shadow of Colossus was more epic in feeling and excitement.mythrol
Meh 6, 8 and 11 were small time Xp
That boss was easy as hell. The boss fight in zero gravity was much better. Well if a boss fight is easy and weak it sort of hurts the "epicness" don't ya think?I didn't say it was hard, just that it was epic. I'm playing through again on the unlocked difficulty, hopefully he's harder.

That colossus fight someone posted was over in like 2 minutes flat, but it still looked pretty epic. I guess there are a couple ways you could define it.

Meh. if you have to get TECHNICAL about it, sure. Still, they were thrown in there to add more change to the game play. Not every boss could be scale to the highest point and stab. SoC is still one of my Top 10 games of all time. That colossus fight someone posted was over in like 2 minutes flat, but it still looked pretty epic. Have you ever played the game in Hard Mode?
All the Colossi have different weak points than in Normal Mode and take longer to kill. :o
I haven't played the game before, I was just using that video as an example of something looking easy but still epic anyways.

for me the best boss fights are in MGS series... SOTC also is amazing fighting all those colossi.. and one boss i'll always remember is Sephirot :)
[QUOTE="siLVURcross"]Screw you Ocarina of Time lovers! :Pfunsohngi love your sig. just pointing it out there. Why thank you.
Psycho Mantis is actually a more epic battle for me, because I really didn't know what was going on at first until I look at the guild. On the other hand Zelda was just zelda, I remember just hacking away on ganon. Windwaker ganon was alot better than Ocarina of Time one anyway.
