I don't think people should be getting too excited for Left 4 Dead.

I know what most of you people are thinking and it's that Valve + Zombies = Awesome. But I really don't think this is the case here.

Valve aren't even the ones developing the game. It's Turtle Rock Studios who were the same people that developed Counter Strike: Condition Zero and the CS Xbox port. I know that Valve acquired them, but you can't be so sure that it'll be a definate success with that happening.

I'm not saying that the game will be bad, but you can't be sure if the game will be good either.

its a little too late to try and get people to stop hyping it, the game comes out in less then two months, those who want the game have already made up there mind on it, and those who dont such as you tc have obviously made up your minds tolinkin_guy109

Because Valve are about quality. "turtle rock" is now under the Valve name, there not going to allow them to release a game that isn't up to their standards. It'll be a blast.

Although TurtleRock Studios did not relocate to Washington, Valve has many of their team members assisting with the development.So rest assured, this game will be fine; and pointless threads like this will only make you look naive.

Then I apologize for misunderstanding you. I just figured Valve sharing their creative talent with TurtleRock was common knowledge since it is very common in mergers like this.

It's a game I'll probably end up buying after its price drops a little. Not something I must play on the day it releases. Especially since there are so many games coming out in the same period which I think are superior.

How about keeping a open mind and HOPE the game turns out great. How is getting excited for a game considered hyping the game? I guess we should just think every game is a failure before it comes out.

One poster had already said that some of Valve is taking part in the development so I'm not skeptical on the issue anymore.
