I always thought that 360 was a reference to the upgrade of M$ new hardware. But I finally understand what it stands for,
360 is for (circle)....the 360 ring of death.

Wait isnt that 2 triangles?????????????????????????????? argh maths???? wotupIt comes out to 360 degrees when you add the inside angles of two triangles together, if that's what you mean.
Anyways, a cirlce is 360 degrees, something everyone learns before they are born.
Actually, four red rings would mean power supply problem or something, and you can simply solve it by rebooting your xbox 360. I thought you'd come with a better explanation, something like:
360 is all about acting big about improvement, but ending at the same direction as last time.
Now THAT would have been worth a cookie.
[QUOTE="marklarmer"]the three rings dont make a circle, you fail.hamidious
Don't blame it on me when the 360 can't even fail reliably, maybe M$ forgot to install more lights like how they forgot to properly install better cooling or disk drives that don't scratch your dvds.
WoW this is starting to get sad now

That was a cracker.
360 means how many days it will last before it gets the ring of death.ball_of_air360 days or 360 hours? :o

you guys had me LOL with your posts,
if a 360 lasts for 360 days it would be an acheivement. I'd go with 360 hours.
it seems that most people have their own interpretation of what 360 means, anyone have more? I want to laugh still.

~-~All four things light up to form a REAL circle when you don't have it plugged into a TV. And it's called the 360 cuz it put you at the center of the most powerful gaming experience. (which it was when it came out. Don't know the specs so I'm not going to get into the 360/PS3 power argument.) I think the other interpretations have more validity, here are the possible interpretations so far :-
1) Ring of Death
2) 360 days before it breaks (Lol, that's almost 1 year).
3) 360 hours before it breaks :D
4) 360 space needed all around it to prevent overheating.
5) The endless cycle of turn on, ring of death, ship, repair, get refurbashed, turn on.... etc etc.
Hmmm, how about this one.....keep away from it a safe distance of 360 yards to avoid being infected with bad gaming console fanboyism.
[QUOTE="marklarmer"]the three rings dont make a circle, you fail.archpro
It's not three rings, it's one ring.
Lol, this whole thread is made of lol.

actually, it is a complete rotation. Anything can turn 360 degrees, a square, trapezoid, parallelogram.
So event though you're just trolling and trying to be clever, you're still amazingly wrong. pretty sad actually.

A lot of people take care of their 360 so it doesn't break. Oh and this fall when the 65nm 360 is out what are you fanboys going to say then.
PS3 stands for People are Suckers if they think it's 3 times more powerful than the 360. It's underpowered that is why it doesn't overheat. Look at FEAR that game blows on the PS3 compared to the 360 version.

Fine, if it comes out and it doesn't show the ring of death I'll be OK. However, M$ has been really silent about the issue, which is no encouragement. As I see it right now, M$ is pawning lemmings hard. I don't think M$ will be capable of making the 360 more reliable, for goodness sake, it's been out for 1 and 1/2 years, and they still haven't fixed the problem which is lousy. How long will it take them? maybe next generation? For now they will keep blaming customers :)
GREAT COMPANY !! the 360 breaks just like Windows used to crash...frequently.
