I gave 360 a year to impress me and now I will do the same to PS3

I never buy a console when it first comes out I always wait a year to see if that particular console has the games that I want, I don't want buy a console at launch just because its a new product. When 360 first came out none of the games impressed me, I did like DOA4 but I have played DOA2 which I disliked because of the controls plus I enjoy Tekken far more.

OK once 360 had been out for a full year I was shocked to see that only two games I was interested in, I gave 360 a year and all it had to show for it was Dead Rising and GeOW. Don't get me wrong I mean everoney has their own tastes in gaming and it was clear to me that 360 doesn't cater to my tastes.

Now the PS3. when that came out there was also not a single game that really impressed me apart from Motorstorm but because it wasn't 2 player I didn't like it then. PS3 has been out for six months and I'm gonna give it another six months before I decide to buy it and thats if it has the games I enjoy but guess what, the games which are coming this fall look really interesting to me.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank future, Heavenly sword, Metal Gear Solid 4. So far these are the games that really cater to me. I guess I will by a PS3 this fall after all :)

p.s. If the PS3 also didn't impress me then I would have bought a Wii.

As soon as I saw your comment about there being only two good games for the 360 I figured out what your next comments would be... and suprisingly, it turns out that all the PS3 games (which you haven't even played yet) are your style. Right... get outta here and leave the 360s for people who LIKE GAMES.

Have you played Condemned? Its action/horror, for stealth you have Splinter Cell titles and then Devil May Cry and GTA IV. So since most of those are multiplats its more of a choice of what system they are better on. If you want a good RPG then try Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion.

Last year it was all about the 360 for me and this year I'm concentrating on the PS3. I have noticed that Sony had great things to show at GDC and Gamer Day. Lets hope there E3 showing is even better.

In that case you only have six more months, and by that time FF13, MGS4, and Uncharted probably won't even be out yet. :SVandalvideo

MGS4 will probably be out by the holiday, Uncharted was already confirmed this year, FF13 we know won't be out in 07 

I only buy consoles after they impress me. However you don't truely know what a consoles game library is like until you own it. I thought my favorite games on 360 would be Gears and Oblivion but they are among my least favorite and got old fast.

I'm not really impressed with any of them. I'm least impressed by the PS3 though. I'm most impressed with the 360's game selection.rhaigun

like I said in my topic, everyone has their on tastes in gaming and 360 doesn't cater to my taste.
