Out of every single game they showed, every trailer they played, every game they talked about, not even one(ONE!!!) was a rpg. No wrpg no jrpgs. Discounting DC Universe, since it is a p2p mmorpg. Wtf man...
RPGs are a touchy subject right now, what with Final Fantasy XIII going multiplatform on them and all, its no surprise they didn't even mention anything along those lines, best keep everyone's attention else where.
I dont care that no RPGs were shown since Xbox has plenty but...come on its almost 3 years into this generation...WHERE ARE THE PLATFORMERS!!! Mario is awesome but that is just one game. I remember PS2 for the platforming adventure goodness and now? Nothing...same basically goes for Xbox but they will have Banjo and Xbox was always more about shooters.
it's really disappointing to see something like this, I guess thats why they don't really care about ff13, most anyone who wanted to play a rpg is heading over to the xbox360 or just got a ds. Looks like i'm heading to that route now. Of all the rpgs that have come out only one has scored a 7.0 or better and 2 are coming out this year with 2 more that are possibly coming out within the next 2-3 years(ff13,versus13). Not worth it waiting and not worth it complaining about it anymore either I guess.
You have to remember Sony has TGS for RPGs. While I was disapponted that not one RPG title was shown for PS3 (Valkyria Chronicles PSP wtf?) you have to remember that E3 is a largely Western show, the point of it aside from trying to screw one another is to show off games that appeal to your user base in the West.
To put it simply it'd be like MS spending tons of money to make a kick ass Gears booth at TGS, it'd be a total waste of money and dumb.
We also have to remember that E3 isn't as big as it used to be.
