No you will never get it because Irrational games has a exclusive deal with microsoft. Its not that PS3 could't run it, its just that PS3 is getting different games. It just so happens to be that 360 is getting all these good games this year, and sony and all its fanboys are saying wait till 2008. The only game coming out in 2008 that for sure will own is MGS4. You should have bought a system that has a present and a future. Not just a supposive future because thats all I hear with the PS3. The Future and just wait until... BTW all multiplat games will always be better on the 360 than PS3. The only time PS3 will shine is when it is first party. As far as FPSs go, Ps3 only has resitance to help it in that category. As of now its the only proven fps franchise on the ps3. And dont say Haze or Killzone because they havent proved anything until afterthey arereleased.

The PC offers *better* presentation than any console, thanks to Moore's Law. Look at this latest tidbit from the Cult of Rapture website:

In summation, I am upgrading my PC with an Athlon x2, 2gb of DDR2-800, a GeForce 8600 (factory overclocked), and an Xbox 360 controller. In total, I am spending $365 on upgrades (shipping & tax included) - less than an Xbox 360 (with sales tax). According to the *creators of Bioshock* my PC will run the game on a setting that offers more graphical features than the Xbox 360 version, for less money.

In other words - mainstream PC gaming has definitively surpassed the PS3 / 360, and the high-end has long been well past them. These idiotic "graphics debates" between the system from game-to-game are almost pointless. If you own both systems, you get the version that works best - if you only one own system, you get that version. However, you're all debating like you're concerned about there being some serious graphics gap between your system in the competition, and, well, here's a hint - don't own static hardware if that's your goal.


The moral of this story? The PS3 and Xbox 360 are static hardware - and frankly the differences between them are incredibly slim. If you are going to try and use "bioshock" to defend the Xbox 360 hardware, you're missing that it's just a back-and-forth tussle from game-to-game.

Moore's Law is the undeniable reality here - you've got static hardware, and in the grand scheme of things both the PS3 and Xbox 360 are so similar compared to the growing gap between them and the graphical high-end (geforce 8800gtx... soon 8900) that these debates ad-nauseum are pointless.subrosian

When the PS3 comes out with in game graphics, on say a playable demo, that get near Bioshock's we'll agree that the PS3's graphics are on par with the 360.

So far the PS3 hasn't really produced anything that even gets near Bioshock.

However the PC is not much better than either console in terms of graphics, only slightly as of right now. The cost however is huge. Atleast with the Ferrari and toyota comparison the ferrari is way more expensive but way better. the PC on the other hand is not way better that the two consoles at this point and its way more expensive.

I have seen games at there best on the PC and I have seen games at there best on a PS3 and a 360 and there is little diffrence between graphics. So you are crazy. BTW I didn't know its irrlevant to like to relax on a nice sofa chair with surround sound, anda 60 inch hdtv. Rather than being hobbled over onan uncomfortablecomputer chair. Some people work all day with computers, being able to get away from then for any small time at all is a relief. BTW I prefer a controller over a keyboard and mose, so how is it irrlevant to want a console over a PC and use graphics as justification?

The only difference being I'll be getting some graphical goodies I wouldn't be able to get on the console version. It's not a huge deal, but the point I'm making is:

Please don't drag Bioshock's good name through the dirt for some idiotic PS3 vs. 360 graphics war. I know many of you have never seen what a high-end GPU and a high-res monitor (or HDTV) can do, but, it's quite impressive, and it's really what I look to for the high-end. The first time I saw a high-end PC setup, it put last generation's graphics debates into a pretty stark perspective - this generation, where the PS3 and 360 really aren't that different graphically, it just strikes me as utterly pointless to encourage Sony fanboys to bash what will likely be GOTY (bioshock) by waving it in their face in a graphics thread.

I guess you prefer your leather chair, but thats because you never sat in my recliner, its a thing a of beauty ;). BTW I have seen what a high end PC can do because I have friends with them and I have playedon many PC games on high end pc at pc gaming lounges. True. Im not really using the graphics of Bioshock to piss ps3 users off, just the game in general. It is no secret that the PS3 could run Bioshock. However, the game itself is a thing of beauty and I love that they won't get to experience it. Most of them that is.
