I love my 360 as much as my wii. The fact is that the majority of topics ont he board lately are anti-Wii threads. It's jealousy and straight up haterism on the Wii. The Wii has fantastic and unique games like Zelda: TP, RE 4 Wii edition, SUper Paper Mario, etc. All at a pricepoint of $250 with a game. It shows how people love to hate the top dawg.
lf it's because Wii is the best, then why loads of people hate the gamecube too? You're not going to try and argue that that was #1 as well are you? And what about PS3? That gets even mroe hate, does that mean it's really #1 and Wii is only #2?

That's nice and all and I'm enjoying it quite a bit, but calling RE4 unique is stretching it quite a bit. Although the control is different, the content is still the same. It's a port and ports are not unique.
I have myself a Wii, and I think I have as much criticism for the console as the 'haters'. I don't like this console, whatsoever yet. The controller is actually -offending- me with it's false promise of real immersion. Try being completely immersed in RE4 when suddenly your controller wacks out and points to some obscure corner of the screen when about 12 zombies are about to -eat- you, you'll shake your controller at the screen like you're putting out a fire.
Make the controller work better, bring in more games with some depth I can appreciate, and maybe work on DS/Online connectivity and I'd be feeling different.
People have irrational fears of what the Wii represents to them.
I'm a nintendo fan and I couldn't be happier. All I owned was a GC and a PC last gen and I loved it, now Nintendo's finally getting the respect it deserves.
On the front page right now there are 0 Wii bashing threads, 1 stop hating the Wii thread (this one), and one "stop hating on Mario/Zelda" thread. Stop making threads that people can enter to bash the Wii and maybe it won't happen so much.
Well, I do think that these people do genuinelyhave valid reasons for dislikingthe wii, but success does have a tendency to turn dislike into hatred. It's kind of like bands like fall out boy, afi, my chemical romance, etc., there probably wouldn't be as many people who vehemently hate them if they weren't as popular as they are
Until it 1) passes the 360 in system sales and 2) get's a great gaming library; it won't be considered #1 in my book. More like #3 compared to the other two; if that's 'jealousy' then oh well, it's my opinion.
