I havent voted yet,but I wouldint vote for MGS4 since im not stupid and I know crysis looks better. Also the same would happen if gears2 was on the list. Im pretty sure most lems would vote for it knowing crysis looks way better.
Guys I have to agree with the TC here. First of all im a big MGS fan and have been protecting it since day one, and my prior sig was that of The Boss incase you think im a hermit or some such thing, but the award was strictly "TECHNICAL GRAPHICS" and as much as you may like the way MGS4 looks and hate the way Crysis looks, you cannot deny (and your fanboy goggles can not possibly block out) the fact that Crysis is the most technically advance game on the market today.
Mgs was good but i stopped playing after mgs2. To say its graphics is better than Crysis is laughable.
Its not even as good as far cry 2.

Anyway to TC, I've yet to vote. If I get the chance to, I will vote for Crysis for graphics, and MGS4 for GOTY.

I actually enjoyed number 2. I stopped playing after the 2nd game. I don't like the era in number 3, and the acid games on psp were awful. That made me very bored and tired of the series. Plus when i thought about it, the story makes no sense. You cant fault the action though, especially on the ps1, nothing was like it.

I only played crysis 1 on high settings....and mgs4's graphics definitely beats that game.....I cannot comment on crysis warhead cause i have not played it...so therefore i can not vote for crysis warhead. simply because i have not played it.

Not every MGS fan went there and said oh yeah I'll vote for it to have best Graphics. Those who did could be any fanboys who hates PC games and figuired lets vote for MGS4, of course there is the MGS fanboys who are different from the MGS fans.

Perhaps they're simply more impressed with what Konami got out of console hardware, as opposed to "if the game doesn't run fast enough, **** 'em, they can buy new PCs"?
Crysis doesn't look as good as it does because Crytek are programming gods; it looks as good as it does because they're willing to produce a game that leverages hardware coming in the near future and wait for gamers to catch up. I applaud Crytek for being willing to break away from the chicken-egg cycle, but id Software they most certainly aren't.
I voted for Crysis Warhead for best Graphics Technical. But here is a bigger question how could anybody not vote for Valkyria Chronicles for Best Graphics Artistic. I love how it looks it looks like it was hand drawn with Colored Pencils.
If there was some completely objective standard to these things then there wouldnt need to be a poll at all, there'd be the objectively best looking game. But perhaps MGS fans are more impressed by the graphical technicallity of for instance, the camo suit taking on the likeness of the environment or something
To me, it's technically more impressive than Crysis. There's some absolutely amazing character models used IN MGS4, and on a system, that in comparison to most gaming PC's, is fairly weak. Crysis may look amazing, but it would. It has almost limitless potential as it's platform is one of complete and utter user based customization. You're going to see better graphics, because you're not limited by specs [within reason] MGS4 excels at looking great, while being limited to a relatively weak system specification. In my opinion, that deserves a vote for being technically impressive, over the PC's platform of extremely high potential
