I have roughly $570 saved up and can either can a 360 or PS3. Which one should i choose all biased aside (although i doubt people will). I like the PS3 because PSN is free and it comes with built in Wifi. I like the 360 because the online community is better and more active but i dont want to string an ethernet cable to my router or pay $100 or rrod. Im kind of in the middle of them especially with a slim PS3 coming and the Elite 360 dropping to $299. So it all comes down to the (exclusive) games and there are both games i want to play on both. Killzone 2, MGS4, Resistance, MAG, God of War, etc. The 360 has some legit excluxives to but when i play games like CoD it will be kick ***. Help me pick one. And how good is the PS3 online community? And BTW dont say the Wii.

EDIT:Someone pointed out HEREthat i said that i had bought a 60GB PS3 and hoped that the slim PS3 was $299 or less. The thing is yes i had a PS3 but i dont anymore, i got one when the PS3 was the hot item and was all hyped up but now, games have changed, developers have changed, the consoles have had hardware features added or taken away, and the whole PSN/Xbox market place adds a whole new factor. I had a PS3 back then but times have changed and its just not 2007 anymore. And i said that i hopped the PS3 would be $299 or less because it would save me $100 if i got it but the Elite is also going to $299.

Ugh, I realize you probably can, I know I can, but that doesn't mean everyone has the time or money to do so, a good pc would cost more than $570.

To answer your original question 360.

I can't help anyone who plays Call of Duty on a console, it's meant for PC. I'll also try to forget the spin offs and Call of Duty 3.

Im not really a PC gamer. I know i cant build an adaquate rig for the money i have but i prefer consoles, they have a few games that arent on a PC although a lot of 360 games are on the PC.

I would say build a PC or buy a Wii for the good games. Otherwise, I would choose 360 for multiplats or PS3 for exclusives.

Lots of kids on XBL though. Not as many people on ps3 have mic, which is a blessing and a curse. You might like socom though, that game has a great community. PS3 has better exclusives IMO also...ME and LFD you can get for PC if you PC can handle em.

Playstation 3. What to take into consideration is these two things: exclusives and online. They both have great exclusives but PS3 has better ones, IMO. Online has pros and cons on both systems. PSN is free, but Home is a flop. XBL is cooler when it comes to your friend's list, and you can throw parties, but online cost money.

It's all about the games. The systems are only as expensive as how many games you buy for them, so whichever has more games you like, get that one. If you were buying right now I would recommend the KZ2, MGS4 PS3 bundle from Best Buy, because those games pwn.. But the Halo 3 Fable2 360 bundle is not bad also... TBH I think you should wait a week or two to see what happens with the price drops, you might be able to get both for around that much if they realy cut prices

Guys he asked a question, he already said he didn't wanta pc, just answer it, and if you can't do that don't post. I don't see why people can't simply answer the asked question. I know this is system wars, but seriously.

I would say PS3 if you want some great exlusives becuase (in my oppinion) the PS3 has a more varied line up of exclusive games.

You also should take into consideration that A LOT of great games come out for both consoles.

I would pick the PS3 over 360. PS3 is less likely to break down and overall, I think it's the better media machine. You may think that the 360 library is almost triple the size of the PS3, but in the near future, I can see PS3 having more and better exclusives.

It sounds like you're more suited to get a PS3. The fact that you like the idea of PSN being free is evidence enough lol.

You can't go wrong with either console imo.

If I were you I'd get the PS3. You can't get Uncharted 2 or God of War 3 on any other console. I can't wait for those two games. PS3 also has the Blu-ray player if you've got a HDTV. I love my 360 too but at this moment in time I'd say the PS3 is the best buy. Pick up the 360 later, then the Wii.

What you need to look at is games, and the services offered by both companies.

On PS3 you have MGS4, Warhawks (I haven't played it in a while, is it still popular?), Infamous, Ratchet and Clank, Killzone, uncharted, and motorstorm,as well as multiplats.

On 360 you have Gears, Fable, Halo, PGR, Forza, etc. 360 may not win in the exclusives, but I have both and for the most part multiplatform games are done better on 360. Also internet may be free on PS3 but its lacking in key areas, and the lack of mic's by apparently everyone is saddening. The $50 a year is well worth it.

If you had the choice I'd say get both, but since you can only get one I'd say get 360. If you are young enough, maybe you can mooch off your parents for a few games to get you by and save up a tad bit more to get a ps3. Its worth it to own both.

Thats probably true, so the best thing to do is research on your own. Go to gamestop/eb games sites and check out the games, or ask in both forums about the great games on that platform, then compare the two. On system wars, people will vote with fanboyism. You are better off deciding for yourself. I recommend going to the 360/PS3 section of gamespot and comparing the games on the 2. As far as pure games library goes, id recommend the 360 because you get 360 exclusives, 360/PC only games, and 360/PC/PS3 games. Also, the 360 has the better onlinie, and streamlined connectivity. The PS3 has had the better exclusives this year though, and Uncharted is a game that you would probably love. So its up to you

You realy can't go wrong with either console, the 360 fail rate is very exagerated around SW and both consoles have a set of must have titles. i'll be finishing off the terifica with a PS3 very soon myself. either way, i would say both eventualy, but as for what one you get first that depends on what list of current and upcoming exclusives interest you most

If you're gonna buy a PS3 wait til the price drop. If you like the mutiplats more then exclusives, community matters, and you don't mind paying $3.33 a month for mutiplayer access then go 360. If you like the exclusive list, extra features on your console (not all appliable to games) and free online. Go PS3. Eighter way, they are about even now, much better than 2 years ago. Personally, I find myself playing my 360 more than my PS3 and almost always going 360 with muitplats (might change with FF13).

Get PS3 cuz you get everything (except a headset) out of the box, you have waste more $$$ with the 360 with Xbox LIVE and other accesory. Plus the 360 has a higher chance of breaking on you.

Well judging by your posting history, You already own a PS3.

EDIT

Hahah...no. Sony always thinks that they are a "premium" brand and that they can charge more just because. A Sony exec said that alhough the PSP Go was cheaper to make (smaller, less plastic, no umd drive, smaller screen, etc) it cost more because it was a new product or just because. I'm not anti-Sony, don't get me wrong, I bought the 60GB PS3 for $599 and PSP 1000 for $250, but I've been disappointed with Sony this gen. They have been too cocky this gen, they thought that they didn't have to work hard or secure major exclusives right away. I hope the PS3 slim is $299 or even less but I don't know. Twig978

My vote goes to ps3, I was going to buy a 360 recently, but decided against it.

I'm still enjoying my ps3, and they give great firmware updates making the console better and better, not just giving it netflix or un-wanted avatars ( just saying ) but the party chat is cool :)

Blu Ray

Great Exclusives

Free Online

and more

Ps3 has great games are coming up soon with games like UC2 and GoW3

psn is always growing and getting better, for free.

both consoles are good, and you will enjoy either or, but my pick goes to ps3 :)

It makes more sense that he was lying then, because he made no point at the moment, and no war broke out, so it would have been utterly pointless if it were now.

He's not going to post again though, so just move along.

K so I own a Wii (so I'm not biased) and have two friends who have a 360 and PS3. I play both consoles equally and if I were to get another console, it would be the 360. Sure you have to pay for Live, but it's extremely rewarding. Plus, 360 IMO has a better exclusives than PS3

I like the PS3 because PSN is free and it comes with built in Wifi. I like the 360 because the online community is better and more active but i dont want to string an ethernet cable to my router or pay $100 or rrod. Killzone 2, MGS4, Resistance, MAG, God of War, etc. The 360 has some legit excluxives to but when i play games like CoD it will be kick ***. Help me pick one. And how good is the PS3 online community? And BTW dont say the Wii.

[QUOTE="gaming4us"]K so I own a Wii (so I'm not biased) and have two friends who have a 360 and PS3. I play both consoles equally and if I were to get another console, it would be the 360. Sure you have to pay for Live, but it's extremely rewarding. Plus, 360 IMO has a better exclusives than PS3-Patrick_92-
what games have you played on ps3 at your friends house? and what games have you played for 360?

Most games they both own are on both platforms, and are basically the same. My one friend has Killzone 2, Heavenly Sword for the PS3. And the other has Fable 2, Left for Dead and Halo 3 for the 360. I'm not sayin PS3 games are bad, but I just like 360 games more. There is one game on PS3 I'm interested about. (Little Big Planet) but he's stubburn and doesn't want to get it.

Here i'll break down the pros and cons of each system for you

PS3

Pros- Built in Wifi, Blu-ray Player, Free online multiplayer, Controller comes with a battery pack built in, Decent amount of good exclusive titles and games, kickass graphics, Tons of multimedia features and a HUGE selection of movies and tv shows in the Playstation Store.

Cons- The web browser is pretty much useless, HDMI cable not included, It wont recognize ipods, Some devs dont use the PS3 as the lead platform, Playstation Store doesnt update as frequently as it should but there is a huge selection of stuff if your just now buying one. Not backwards compatible with PS2 games*

360

Pros- Very nice selection of exclusive titles and games, good graphics, HDMI cable included, Alot of devs use the 360 as the lead platform, Large online user base, In game custom music soundtracks for every game, Backwards compatible with most Xbox games.

Cons- Wifi is not included, Wireless controllers are not rechargable if you want that you gotta pay extra, You have to pay to play online multiplayer

Pretty much its a win-win with either system imo.. But you will get more for your money with a PS3 without a doubt.

Well judging by your posting history, You already own a PS3.

EDIT
[QUOTE="Twig978"]Hahah...no. Chaos_HL21

This is @falconclanandmitu123too.

I had a PS3 and a Wii so i know more about the PS3 but unfortunately i dont have it anymore, hence the "I hope the PS3 slim is $299 or even less.." part. I got it when the PS3 was all hyped up and suppose to dominate but things have changed, the games have changed, developers have changed, and heck the hardware in the consoles have changed a bit.

BTW, wtf is up with the HTML posting etc on here. It says that i need to keep on changing things because of exploits.

I would say Ps3 cause I think the exclusives are better, and it has a lot of good built in features that I really like, you get a lot of bang for your buck. The arguement between 360 and Ps3 multiplats is ridiculous, I have both and can't notice a difference. Just go with what console you think has the best exclusives. And please don't buy a Wii ;)

Maybe with a SDTV, but even then I notice the installs required for many mutiplats...I notice the slower load times for them I notice how 360 seems to get DLC exclusives or first....
