I mean, why are they taking so long on Tekken 6 for PS3? I think that Namco is gonna put it on the 360 for some reason. And if so, thats another blow to Sony.

Has Tekken ever been on a non-sony platform besides Arcade?EPaul
a version on the GBA. It focused on 3 v 3 fights (a la Capcom vs SNK 2 EO)

But that had nothing to do with the other ones anyways. Tekken 6 will be Exculsive.
I wouldn't be surprised considering the number of previously Sony exclusive franchises (Ace Combat, Virtua Fighter, Devil May Cry, etc.) that have made the jump to the Xbox 360.The_Game21x
Virtual Fighter was never a sony exclusive. Its been on Saturn and dreamcast before.
I think that is VERY likely to happen. They've been so quiet on that game lately... hopefully we hear more on it this summer.haze_blaze
more quiet..?? dude you really need to get your hands off of your controllers and go out there at the arcades...
there are many Tekken 6 tournaments that have been held already ever since it came out of the arcades..
for more info just check out TekkenZaibatsu.com and SDtekken.com.
some devs from Namco on the Tekken team usually visit these tournaments in gaining new ideas for their next sequel

Virtua Fighter 4 and Evolution were released on no console other than the PS2 last gen. It became a Sony franchise once Sega went belly up and decided to release it on the PS2 alone. If it had been released on another console then maybe I would view it differently.
[QUOTE="whitetiger3521"] you lemming need to quit wishing you had all the great PS3 exclusives come to 360 because it just isnt going to happen. SHuN_G0Ku
it's a typical lemming desperation..
It`s lemming.....It`s not that weird.....To them every 3rd party PS3 exclusive games will come to 360 as well....
Besides GTA4, Tekken 6 is one of the main reasons I want a PS3 right now. Perhaps it could come to the 360, it's certainly a possibility, but the PS3's d pad is superior for fighters in my opinion.
And it's been ages since I've played a Tekken game :(
It'll only show up on the Xbox 360 if Sony didn't secure it as an exclusive, but I'm pretty sure they've already sent that check over to Namco.BreakingPoint8
Thats what everyone thought with Bioshock..
It most likely will, but i dont quite see what namco are getting out of it. So far, everything they have done for the 360 has performed at an average rate sales-wise. Its certainly not helping Microsoft in Japan, and im sure their japanese fanbases love how much of Namcos content is going to the 360...
Besides which, it would control terribly with the 360s face buttons and D-Pad.

I agree i think they will as well, like you said another blow for Sony! If im going to be honest i think Sony are close to completley failing with the PS3, enough units have sold blah blah but look at all of the developers who have left or gone multi plat!

If they release the console port this early it would kill their arcade business. Do some research first my friend...

if that's the case, Tekken 6 might end up being on the Wii as well..
The publishers go where the game sales are highest and that sure isn't the PS3.Stonin
unless Sony pays $$$$

I thought Sony stated that they don't need to, and won't pay for, exclusives :).
now thats a bad buisness model... honestly their exclusive showing has been pathetic.
i have heard rumours about it
FYI - Tekken 6 arcades run on PS3 hardwares..
if you go to an arcade that has Tekken 6, just ask one of the managers to reset the game and the XMB will pop up
SHuN_G0Ku
and how exactly does that stop tekken 6 from becoming a multiplat? If anything it only proves the TC point, that namco is taking too long

Yeah it is but Sony became hugely arrogant after the success of the PS2 and believed that publishers would just flock to the brand name. In their battle to win the format war they forgot that MS would pay millions to secure exclusives and forgot to price the console in a way that would allow rapid market penetration once it released. This combination is why they have struggled with exclusives so far.
Lets hope this kick in the pants by MS and Nintendo will put them back on track. Damn it's a good thing we have competition :).
