I have to admit I want a PS3...

I'm a PC gamer and I want a PS3. Sometimes I want to play a good console game. Like:

Little Big Planet, God of War, Medal Gear Solid, GT4, Heavy Rain, and others.

Not that my PC doesn't do it for me....but I really want to play those games. Alas, I have to wait to save up for one.

Perfectly understandable. Theres always an exclusive or two that will catch your eye.

Hell, while I may not play my PS3 quite as much as my other consoles Im VERY glad I got a chance to play some of its exclusives like Demons Souls, Uncharted 2 and Valkyria Chronicles.

I enjoyed UYA a little more as well, but ACiT was definitely better than Tools of Destruction.

Hey man the PS3 is an excellent home console. All three of the platforms hold their own value in myriad different ways. So there's nothing wrong with expressing interest in any of them. Imo you should shoot for all three! The PS3 has many great exclusives like the ones you named. AND Exclusives are what owning and playing consoles is all about :D Admitting you enjoy console gaming will not compromise your PC gaming integrity. And vica versa is also true. Too many gamers out there approach things with thie elitist attitude such as that and it's just utter nonense. We're all gamers and it's all worth enjoying. So just do that....enjoy :D

I'm a PC gamer too and I own all 3 consoles. I'd have to say the PS3 is the perfect match if you enjoy the more hardcore games on PC and want more mature stuff. If you want something casual or "laid-back" so to speak, the Wii is the perfect secondary. The 360 kinda falls between those two.

Nothing wrong with getting a PS3. All of the games you listed are great. MAG is a blast to play, should get that (But don't roll SVER. They're OP.) Gran Turismo 5, LBP2, and Killzone 2/3 are gonna be or are great games to play too.

Your either doing it wrong or you just have a very special opinion. I prefer PC but I think 360 has my favorite library (so far). PC, PS3, and Wii is my combo, but Wii would be the first to go if I had to get rid of one.

I'm a PC-gamer at heart and i bought a PS3 too. Bought it for GT5 and Yakuza 3/4. Definetly also interested in Heavy Rain and some other exclusives.

well then, by all means get one, its a great system, alot of good games blu-ray a plus if you don't already have one

Dont forget to get the best game Uncharted 2, that title is above and beyond anything you have played with on PC or anywhere, did not get 200 GOTY awards for nothing

I could play this game forever myself, i have finished 6 times and still going, it is the most deep and unique game gaming has given us so far and the whole industry agrees

The days that old games like Baldur Gate 2 and Zelda OOT were considered the best are over single handingly by Uncharted 2 that really supasses anything in these titles that were considered "best" once

In short, just get Uncharted 2 and dont bother with anything else :), PS3 is the best system right now

I gota ps3 160gb for 300$ at walmart and got a $100 gift card and I had a coupon that gives me 12 months at no interest to pay it off on a walmart/discovery card. woot! I now have a BD player and stream music and have cool themes.

even though i was a PC gamer last gen (yes, i didnt own a PS2. sue me), i find that the lack of games on the PC right now is what drove me to abandon it.

sure, there's indie and Steam and whatnot. but those third-person action adventure type games like Max Payne, etc. can no longer be found on PCs. games like Soul Reaver, etc. and Tomb Raider has gone down the drain. Devil May Cry has also gone down the drain (and will sink deeper thanks to Ninja Theory).

where on PC will you find games like Uncharted, or Metal Gear, or God Of War?

PC right now is plagued with poor console ports, mindless FPS, gazillions of mindless MMOs, etc.

i could only count the decent titles. what's keeping it alive are indie devs. most of the big-budget or proper games are all gone. in the past the PC versions were not held down by the consoles.

add the fact that the PS3 has tons of exclusives that are not only guaranteed to be good games, but vary enough to be different from one another.

the PS2 was awesome because there were ALOT of third-party games. exclusives, but they were third-party.

but now third-party are mostly multiplats. so PS3's first-party really shines. especially games that have been released in the past 3 years or so. it started with MGS4 and just skyrocketed from thereon. after MGS4 we had KZ2, UC2, Ratchet Crack in Time, GOW3, Heavy Rain, MAG, Yakuza, Modnation, LittleBigPlanet, inFamous, etc. just plain nasty.

You can argue opinion, but cant argue 200 GOTY awards, that not even games like Zelda OOT or Baldur Gate 2 could not get, Uncharted 2 is the best game that gaming has given so far than anything, if reviewers and sites dont count at all, then what does ?

If Uncharted 2 is not the very best, then all site reviews and GOTY awards are worthless and meaningless ? That is some wild assumption there

I've played PC and consoles all my life and this generation I took a hiatus on consoles for a while. All my friends have 360s and didn't really care if I played Halo or Gears or whatever else here and there. Everything else I got on my PC. Then Uncharted came around and I really wanted to play that. I decided to save up and got a PS3 and ended up loving it. I enjoyed Uncharted, MGS4, Killzone 2, Infamous, Demon's Souls, etc etc. I'm surprised at how much I've liked all the exclusives I've picked up so far, that rarely happens.

MGS is multiplat now, so it sucks. And it's also coming to PC.

A PS3 is definitely a worthy investment, though I haven't used mine in a while. That'll change once The Last Guardian or Journey releases.

GTA4 with mods fixes everything comprehensible, and makes it look at least one generation ahead.. DMC4 i loved, taste in games is subjective.. The PC will be getting 96% of all multiplats (there's a sheet somewere, google it, i won't hold your hand), and God knows how many exclusives in 2011.

Enough already with this PC bashing, i really don't want to turn this thread upside down over a argument that has no place in this thread..

Why not just say you're not interested in the PC exclusives, and you prefer the PS3? That would be perfectly understandable. Let's leave it at that, okei?

Ontopic, yes, i have to admit my self that i feel the same way as you do, thread starter. I've ben wanting to play a good deal of the PS3 exclusives recently, and with this fantastic line-up the PS3 is getting in 2011, no doubt i'll end up buying one my self soon enough.
