I hearby move that Perfect Dark Zero be striken from AAA status at Gamespot.

Seriously, if you played the game, you would know that the gameplay is largely crap.

It's graphics were good, but the single player, the multiplayer, the whole game was shoddy and deserved a 7/10 back then, a 4/10 by today's standards.

I know because after reading Gamestops review, I bought it two years ago. I couldn't even get myself to finish the game it was so bad.

So for the sake of posteriority, please remove PDZ from the AAA status list :)

My point isn't that the game sucked by today's standards.

My point is that the game sucked by 2005 standards. I bought the game within a month of release.

There was barely anything out for the 360 at the time.

Yet me and my friends couldn't stand the multiplayer or coop.

I couldn't bear the single player.

And I'm the biggest fan of the original Perfect Dark you'll ever meet. I still play it PD 64 to this day.

Talk about launch day hype. AAA titles don't suck years later. They should still be awesome. PDZ does suck. And yet Resistance and Uncharted didn't get AAA? wtf?

Well, despite the fact that a different launch title should have been the prime one (Kameo), it remains a solid game, that was good in 2005.

Fallout 2 would get -50,000 for graphics today, and yet, it's still one of the best WRPGs ever released.

You need to do comparitive analysis when determining whether a rating should stand or not, and, at the time PDZ was a significant achievement for the brand new "next" (silence, it was next gen at that time) gen machine. Though, I personally feel Kameo was better, and still stands up today, you cannot deny that at the time (2005), it was a great game.

People say things like "Sux compared to Call Of Doodie 4", but, cod4 wasn't out, therefore, not comperable. "Sux compared to gears of bore", well, GeOW wasn't out at that time, therefore, inconsiquential. I could go on, but you get the point, it was a highly ranked game, even on the most unbias review sources (8.4 on ign, that's an extremely high score), therefore, it wasn't only gamespot that called it great.

Well, I own an x360, and a wii, and a ps3, and just finished defending the x360, but, I feel Uncharted deserved a ranking of 9.0 or a bit higher, never played resistance, so, no idea there, but Uncharted was fantastic.

Resistence is ten times the game that PDZ was.

Uncharted does deserve a AAA status I believe. It just sucked in that it was single player and short. But the gameplay was top notch.

The overwhelming majority of reviews gave Uncharted AAA status. Most did not give PDZ AAA status. Gamespot is the anomoly here.
