I honestly can not believe I'm saying this but......

it may be time for me to get the third and final console this gen even though my loyalties lay with MS. I'm quite a big lemming in every way possible, but the PS3 is FINALLY getting games that interest me. R2, KZ2 and even MGS4 (even though I don't care for the franchise) are the big ones swaying me to finally pick up a PS3.

I swore to myself last gen that I'd NEVER buy another Sony made product due to the HORRIBLE luck I've had with them ALWAYS breaking shortly after the warranty expired. I now find myself at the crossroads of decision as to whether or not I support the company I've despised or miss out on some great games. :( Horrible spot to be in seeing how one will make me feel like a dirty traitor while the other one will leave me feeling as if I've lost out.

The only hurdle I have left now is convincing my wife that all that bad mouthing I've been doing about her Sony brand products was just for pure fun. :)

Dude your a gamer, A) the ps3 has some great exclusives and some good ones coming B) you can use it to take some stress off your 360 with multiplats nowadays they look identical and Your a gamer, Just enjoy it man

R2 yes. KZ2...not so much. MGS4...just to see the hype even though I know I won't love it (same as LBP).

So for now...R2 is the only game I know I'd love. I'll wait a bit longer and just play and a friends house.

I'd wait. Im willing to bet that MS will get some of those games on the 360 next year. Also, if you do decide to get a PS3, wait until the next price drop. No point in literally wasting that money for 3 games.

Yeah there are, it's improved a ton this year. I don't think people should completely rule out the purchase of a product just because they hate the company. I mean, Microsoft certainly aren't my favourite people in the world but that didn't stop me buying a 360.

I got both 2,pree sweet, i use my ps3 for single player games, 360 for online multiplayer games.

I would reccommned it, i dont see anything wrong with it as long as you dont need to sell organs to raise the money. Biggest exclusive im looking forward to is whatever Sony's Team ICO are working on.

That's true. But I don't think you'll have to worry about that- from what I hear from those in the beta, Killzone 2 is utterly incredible. Some have even said it's one of the best shooters they have ever played and that the graphics actually live up to the infamous '05 trailer. That may sound hyperbolic but I'm not in the beta myself (Unfortunately :( ) so I can't confirm it. But yeah, I'm really looking forward to KZ 2 as well.

Anyway, if the money isn't an issue, I'd say go for it. :)

Well...why does getting a PS3 hurt you? lol. Its as if a person whos dating a hot chick bent out of shape about dating another hot chick. Or even one that could be better than the chick you already have. IDK...I was like that before I bought my PS3 too....go ahead and get the thing and enjoy the luxury of options.

The PS3 does have some great games. I just find that the x360 has more of them.....and I prefer the controller.

With Res2 coming out, my PS3 will actually be used for something other than blu-ray movies

As an extreme PS3 hater, I am surprised, but good for you. Why deny yourself any games because of the console manufacturer?

I have had RROD again recently (my 3rd one) and I am still 360 gaming. It's all about the games for us gamers.

I have a good reason for my hatred towards Sony and I'm sure most people hate another company for some reason of their own. From my experience with Sony products lately, I'm seeing far less of the quality and far more of the poorly made POS's at an alarming rate.
