First and foremost, I am looking forward to MGS 4, and it looks like one of the best games of 2008. With that said, some of the fans of this game are ridiculous! If anyone says a SINGLE negative thing about the game, a raid of rabid fanboys are immediately alerted of this, where they say that it's the most amazing experience ever (when they have yet to play it). How dare you sir! I would be sad if that happened as it is my most anticipated game of the year. Some of the fanboys are ridiculous though, you are right.

I hope it scores well simply because a lot of people are looking foward to this game and it sucks to be dissappointed. (Although I will admit seeing uber hyped games flop (for the Wii, 360, and PS3) to be amusing simply because of the reactions in system wars)

based on the MGO beta i'd hazard to guess at least the mulitplayer portion will flop - and that of course will effect the overall score. i just really really hope the sp controls differently, because the mp controls are trash.
Yes, its being hyped and I think the hype is justified by the likes of what I have seen. Sure fanboys are going to over exxagerate about it, but calling it a flop is equally stupid, a game thats quality is easily seen to be great being called bad or a flop means that someone doesnt clearly know about games. Also, GS review is known for its biased stuff, but in terms of IGn and Gametrailers, I expect a 9.5 kind of thing.

yup, im not so sure what they are so excited about, lets face it MGS was never halo. i suppose it all they have to get hyped about. the fanboys ARE RIDICLOUS though, i don't want it to flop but it would put some people in their places if it did.

So you are ok that people Bash a game they have never played but people who are fans of the franchise, probably are currently playing MGO which allows you to control Snake and get a feel of the gameplay, can't praise the game or defend it from fanboy bashing. Talk about double standards.
Lets put it like this, if you dont wanna hear people defend or praise this game don't bash it, its that simple. Why do people think its ok to voice their negative opinions about a game but its not ok to voice their positive opinions about a game.

Let me tell why your not looking forward to mgs 4 and why you dont think that it will be one of the best games of 08. First of how could you be excited to play a game that is only going to be released in a month and hope that it flops just so the fans of this game could feel stupid for hyping it up? That just doesnt make any sense. At all. If your looking forward to a game you should hope that it doesnt fail so itll meet your expectations. So how could you be looking forward to a game that you hope flops? If you really did like the game or the mgs series you wouldnt care what the fans are saying about the game because your playing a game for your enjoyment not for anyone else. So you really didnt make much sense at all.
I know there has been alot of hype on this game, but if a game gets less then a 9.0 i can't see how that game is a flop. I geuss i still work off the old standard that a flop has to score a 6.0 or less. I hope this game does get better then a 9.0 though. the PS3 needs a good exclusive. I am getting tired of playing the same 4 or 5 games all the time.
