Single player, yes, but thats only a SMALL portion of the game. The majority of the time people spend playing gears is on multiplayer.

Multiplayer is overrated. I have always viewed multiplayer modes as a side mode in games. It's just not the core game, and usually consists of nothing more than endless, repetitive battling.

I just went and bought a 360 and started playing GeOW, and my god this game is awful.

That was right after I went and bought a wii, and started playing wario ware... and wow, that game was awful.

As a owner of both, I can tell you right now I would take RFOM over GEOW for the community ANY DAY OF THE WEEK !

Never met such a group of ass hats as the people that play GEOW online.  I have YET to play a match that does not end up with someone calling somone a fa**** and a (random racist comment inserted here )  and someone getting frustrated and then leaving, and runinging the match.

 People think PSN is bad cause no mic's are included, but I personally call it a blessing,  I can't stand the idiots on XBL  3/4 of the community SUCKS.  And sure you can mute people on XBL, but then it becomes more of a chore, than playing and enjoying the game, to sit there and mute each player.  They need a quick mute botton or option or somthing.

Whats the point of playing online without the smack talk. Conflict makes it interesting. Id rather play a loud match of Gears with everyone yelling at each other than have a completely silent match of Resistance any day. If everyone is silent, then you might as well play a match with a bunch of bots. Thats one of the only reasons people play online, the people. So what if the comments on Gears can be a little racy at times. Its the real world, not everyone grew up in an idyllic neighborhood with a mom, dad, little boy and girl, and a golden retriever. If you cant handle the talk, your going to have an unpleasent online gaming experience for the rest of your life. Grow up.RMage

I know how you feel...after playing Gears Of War...Resistance just doesnt compare...

Online multiplayer is fun though...but Im more of a COD3 fan on the 360 (play COD3 more than Gears online)

I didn't realize I was forced to put the headset on or that the 360 mute button is actually for show and has no functionality.

Gears v Resistance.  Gears is the better game.  Trying to use reasoning as lame as I get called names on xbox live is ridiculous in the comparison of two games.  Use the mute button fool.

I unfortunately played Gears Of War first...Im sure if I played Resistance...THEN Gears Of War, I would have a different opinion.

I played Gears...beat it..then played Resistance...

Graphics...meh

Gameplay..meh

AI...meh

Online...Pretty fun...

Gears spoiled me!!!!

I wasnt even "Wow"ed by Resistance...and I was "Wow"ed by PDZ (I know its sad...but purely on a graphics level..it blew anything I away anything I played on the PS2 - I never had an Xbox...but PDZ just sucks overall) and CoD2 when I first saw it on the Xbox. 

Out of the launch games though, Resistance is much better than PDZ ever was....but like I said...Gears spoiled me.

Resistance is the definition of the phrase "decent game", it not ground breaking like HL2 but it's worth the money
