Now Capcom lost a lot a respect from me. I mean wtf?? They think they are playing with us or what? I dont want another rail shooter like this RE survivor crap. I lost all the hype I had on this game. I don't even know if its in my list of the games to buy in 2007...

To be honest I'm starting to worry about 3rd party games. Right now, 75% of the games I want are first party...

It actually sounds to me like a crossbreed between House of the Dead and Killer 7, both of which are games I love. I'm still very interested in this.

And I just learned that the translation of the scans is up in the air at the moment and not all the information about the game has been released and speculation about rail-FPS being only a part of the game is very likely.

edit: nvm, just found it on wikipedia, where it says it's from a famitsu article, that kinda sux, but hopefully RE4 wii will be everything I hoped UC would be

Yea when I heard that I was a little annoyed, I don't think i will be picking it up. I might if its any good, but if its like house of the dead then.. hell no.

There's not enough information if the entire game is on rails. There are two modes as well. Arcade and Story mode. Arcade mode might be for the on rails gameplay, and Story mode might be strictly third person shooter. But whatever it may be, there's not enough info right now to make that judgment. Plus, I want House of the Dead for the Wii. That should be interesting :)

I really want to like this game but cmon lets face the truth, Capcom is giving us a crappy spin off and the real game will be on PS3/360. Even though I'm a big fan of the RE series, I won't buy the 360 for ONE game. All this time I though this game was gonna be as well made as the previous REs. I thought there was gonna be gameplay from old Res aswell as gamplay from RE4. But no, we get a freakin first person RE? Teh scary survival! :|

360 has more then one good game.. You never know you might fall in love with it I enjoy both 360 and wii greatly.

Yes 360 has alot of great games and some of the greatest upcoming games this gen. But its still too early for me. Right now, even gears doesnt interest me that much, neither does halo 3 or gta4. My best friend has a 360 so I can play it whenever I want. If at least 5 games interested me Id buy it but right now, no. And YES I want more than enough money. I know 360 is a good system but it still depends on tastes and also I dont have too much time to play video games, 2 systems would be too much. Ill probably rent RE5 and play it on my friends 360.

Well, you can always play the games on the PC with the Wiimote connected via bluetooth.

No RE survival was their FPS version and that sucked. RE: outbreak was nothing close to a FPS, I know I owned it and it was dissappointing. When it comes down to it the spinoffs of RE always suck but the original story versions are good.

Yes but what you are suggesting is two completly different type of games with two different ways of playing. I have yet to see a resident Evil be that diverse where it is like two different games. I have a sneaking feeling that the reason the Wii is getting a remake for RE 4 is because they know that RE UC is not gonna be the game Wii fans expected it with the same gameplay. My faith in Capcom is minimal and my faith in a RE spinoff is even less.

And they are great games but I dont want my Resident Evil game which is always a horror mystery kinda game to turn into that. If I wanna play a Time Crisis or House of the Dead type of game I would just play......House of the Dead or Time Crisis. People love RE for its creepy mystery solving and fun 3rd person shooting, which making it like RE survivor is not.

I lost interest in this game. Rails don't bother me but the RE series hasn't had a good outings with a game on rails. The RE series is about mainly about exploring, puzzles. RE:UC just killed that for me (I still plan to pick up RE4 Wii Edition, I didn't have a Cube last gen so it will be new for me.

When they first announced this game, they said it would be like RE4 and use the same engine... I am certainly not interested in this anymore...

Oh and Remaking RE4 on the Wii? Some 3rd party devs WANT their game sales to flop...

Unlike many other RE Fans/sheep, I can't wait to see what they've achieved with this game. I think there will be a 3rd person story mode in it as well. It also looks amazing.
