I just played sonys answer to Gears of War series QUANTUM THEORY

I downloaded the demo and all I can say is amazing sure it plays like Gears of War but it's got it's own certain charm and I like the fact that you can hurl that girl at enemies.

the graphics are by far better than gears 2 and on par with gears 3

I would say that Gears has competition with this game and it's future sequels.

I wouldn't say it was garbage it was very fun I played the demo and I also played Gears 1 and 2.

1. Multiplat

2. Demo wasn't that good.

3. Graphics don't even match Gears 3.

4. Even Vanquish is better.

5. It needs to score AAA to match Gears 1 and 2.

For me if I compare it to Gears its garbage. On its own, not comparing it to gears, its decent.

I disagree. Don't get me wrong I don't think the game is trash or terrible but no it's not better or as good as Gears Of War.

And how can it be Sony's answer when 1) the game is multiplat and 2) the game isn't made by sony or any of their owned studios?

Just played Quantum Theory just now. It reeks of mediocrity. The controls are clunky. The gunfights are boring. The graphics are muddy and bland (and disturbing to see). Even the cover system is half-a**ed compared to Gears. You can't switch from cover to cover smoothly. You'd think that since someone already thought about it, maybe these guys could have improved on it, but NO....they removed it.

How can it be Sony's answer if it's a multiplat?

Its a multiplat game that is nowhere near as good as Gears. It also looks worse than Gears 2, let alone Gears 3. Cows will be Cows...CuteCakes

The demo was crap.I found it to be dull, clunky, and boring, and no way this game has better graphics then Gears 2. I guess the only good thing about it was throwing that hot chick at enemies.:P

This is a Namco game made by Team Ninja, the developer of Ninja Gaiden and the game's average. And is not exclsuive either, the game's on X360 too.

Actually I couldn't get into the game, left it after about 10 minutes... it's just boring and they fail hard on the sound aspect oO

well Just played the demo it was bad but not as bad as what OXM made it seem I expect it to get 6~6.5/10 here on GS anyway this game isn't even at the same league as Vanquish so people should stop comparing if there is game which we need to compare to GeoW then its Vanquish and not Quantum Theory though Vanquish style is more of mecha game rather than GeoW.

I like how some users are listing things that are wrong with the game..I'm gonna say this again if you guys thing you can make a game better thanQuantum Theory..Then do it but for the mean time just be quite about it.I liked the Demo and like the Vanquish demo.I also like Gears on the 360 the only 360 game I like.

Never heard of the game, but judging by that screenshot, the devs should be ashamed of themselves.

I don't understand why we have to make / think we can make a game before we're allowed to criticize something. The game is intended for us as end user's and we should be able to criticize shortcomings.

The game is not made by SONY and its multiplat, so how is SONY's answer to anything? ignorance... head shot

That's fair enough, and no doubt most of them can't. Still, I reserve the right to criticize something if it's bad, awful or just downright broken. I don't need to be able to do better in order to distinguish flaws.

"Killing towers is my thing" should be the new "I've covered wars ya know." The dialogue in the demo was just so embarassing :lol:
