I just played the orange box on the xbox 360.

And i gotta say that HL2+gamepad=EPIC EPIC FAIL.I dont know how you console fanboys manage this.Why did this game not support kb\mouse.Ya i think cuz consoles is for casual gamers.

And i thought xbox 360 should eat this game alive but still it doesnt run as smoothly as i run it on my PC.The graphics were very good though.

yea if your not used to the gamepad then it can take some time before you appreciate it. I've always been a PC Gamer and when I finally got a xbox 360 I had such a hard time adjusting from kb/mouse to gamepad, I really hated it.

But as time went I got the hang of it and Im really enjoying playing FPS on my 360 now.

Bet yet it still scored 9.5. So do we believe you or the reviewers? Hmm tough choice there. I think I will stick with the reviewers.Eltroz

1. Yes its knowhere as good on 360 as PC. Nuff said.

2. Its still the best FPS off all time - even on 360 -regardless.

3. Its great that more people get to experience what such a great game it is.

I tire of the casual argument. Besides, what's wrong with being a casual gamer? Don't you think, unless you're supporting yourself with gaming alone, that being a "hard-core" gamer is a wee silly? Just my opinion.musicalmac

My definition of hardcore vastly differs from many here.

My definition is someone who games as a passion. The gamer who tries new games and knows who the developers are. A hardcore player cares about the industry and is passionate about gaming. That to me is a hardcore gamer. Nothing to do with skill or elitism, just the amount of passion one has for gaming.

I term a hardcore gamer much like someone would be labeled a music junkie or a film buff.

Umm your video card cost's more then the 360.

My 3 year old X850pro ran HL2 on the highest settings AA, AF with HDR at a 50fps+ frame rate.

My 9600XT ran it at the highest settings (though no HDR) at 35fps+

OB was perfectly fine for me. No problems or learning curves or anything. Simple for me even the driving was remotely hard

I personally like both setups. Of course M/KB is more accurate, but I don't reject game pads for that reason. Oh yeah, I shouldn't forget the Wii either.

well, you're used to the over easy mouse. sure, a mouse works much better for aiming. it's almost as intuitive as the wiimote. if it weren't for the unimmersive keyboard controls.

How do you know how many pirated copies of console games are sold on the streets in Asia ? There are MANY people who dont care about online gaming and find it much easier to buy a modded console and console games off the street.anshul89
