I traded in my collection of xbox and ps2 games at game stop.

and I got, drum roll

101.00 in store credit.

I hadn't touched these games in almost a year.

I felt bad getting so little, most were, AA or AAA titles.

Halo ico and conker were worth the most at a little under 10.00 bucks each.

I also got rid of a big chunk of my dvd collection, 147 dvd's for 398.00, I was surprised that the dvd's were worth more than the games. I got 10.00 dollars for swamp thing, wtf?

I'm upgrading to blu ray, i have about 30 blu ray movies.

57 last gen games = 2 current gen games

Ebay, Amazon, trade online, heck even an indie retailer near your home or cash converter would be better.

They didn't rip you off man, they completely abused you in a wrong way.

They were collecting dust in the closet, I had no intention on playing, I felt bad getting as little as .30 cents on some of them, oh well easy come easy go. They wouldn't take the dreamcast games. They had gamecubes for 30.00 bucks.

I was gonna trade in TimeShift, it was given to my brother for free and he gave it to me, to Game Stop, but I'm just going to Walmart and get it for full price. You should've sold it on ebay for atleast $5 to $10 bucks, $10 x 57 = $570. Wow.

I would of gave you 2 or 3 times that for ICO. You should of at least tried BlockBuster, there trade in values are better. eBay would of been your best option tho. Oh well to late now.

EXACTLY!!! Its already hard for me to just part with a game that I don't dislike. Especially at the rapefest prices gamestop charges you. They are more anti-gamer than Jack Thompson (or whatever his name is). He just rants... gamestop rips of gamers and screws game publishers on a daily basis.

Gametop would give you $0.50 for Chrono Trigger and a working SNES. $1 for every genesis sonic game and a fully working genesis with sega cd and sonic CD. There are things you just shouldn't do as a gamer or as person who is allegedly gamer friendly. Trading away classic

I gave my genesis away to a poor kid 6 years ago and i've never stopped regretting it. Sonic 1, Sonic 2, Sonic 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Streets of Rage, NBA Jam... all gone in an instant. Dumbest move i've ever made when it comes to gaming.

Ya, when I traded in my PS2 games they were like 50 cents, they were taking up space so it's better than tossing them out. Also, my friend has gamecube and xbox, so no use to him.

I am thinking of getting a PS3. So how much would Gamestop give me for a two year old Xbox system with about 5 games and 6 360 games?

Man, you should have posted up here first. My xbox still works and I would have taken like 6 games (you probably had alot more too) for like $25. No great but $25 is hella more than $101 x (6/57). Jet Set Radio is like Ico to me. A game that didn't sell the greatest, but sould be in everyone's catalog. One of the few games that I regret having not beaten.

The thing about alot of older games is that they can still be fun to play. They aren't the prettiest but they're fun. Plus, you get to read in magazines in like 4 years where someone will say, "I grew up playing xxxxxx" or "xxxxxxx really inspired me" and you'll be like, "hell yeah, that game did rock" and you can bust it out again and have alot of fun. Or you'll read some "Best of" list and see alot of your games on it or even better you can go back and play some of them. Emulators just aren't the same.
