*looks at tc post, laughs*
goes the other way around aswell? does it not? I can name 3 pc exclusive fps shooters in my head right now, not counting crysis (Stalker, shattered horizon, and Killing floor (granted altho it is considered a full game, I see it as a mod, still it competes with console shooters very nicely).
I also love how you pretty much threw out an oppinion, with no evidence.
Let us take an example, head to IGN, and look at the "5 things to make MW2 better" snippet... it sumps it up pretty well, why pc fps games are usually better.
1) P2p, it doessnt work, never has, Ive seen so many players having problems with a p2p fps game, and if anyone thinks above 100 ms is acceptable you never playiedon a dedicated server.(p2p works great in rpgs, and other non twitchbased games tho). The people saying that only a few people have problems with p2p are either stoned, or never tryied anything else. Since the daily threads on most gaming boards are about bi*ching and moaning of the lag.
2) Admins, these are a good thing you know, a controled envioment, goes well with dedicated servers, which puts everyone on a more level playingfield.
3) Access to modding, I just love how some people underplay this ^^ "Modding is too hard to figure out" well it is easy, just jump into a dedicated server and the server usually does the rest.
4) Bigger, better, way more optimised game anyone? BFBC2 comes to mind, as the most recent to hit the shelves. the games generally offer way more in choice, and ability to alter things to your liking (and I do not like 30 fps fps games), you can pretty much make the game act as youwant it to be.
-These are the mp section of why PC fpsgames are darn good... want to go try tackeling Sp?
Oh snap :o forgot about armaII ^^ (well aa3 aswell if you have to be picky :P)
