It's so funny when people say this, and I just need to highlight it--> there aren't any good exclusive shooters for the pc aside from stalker. Many would pathetically argue Crysis, but the 2nd is coming to consoles.

So yea, please stop the myth that pc shooters are somehow more advanced, they aren't. They're just stuff on consoles but less.

And please, stop claiming Half Life 2, and Valve games in general for the pc. They're available on all consoles, and play just as well on the 360.

You seem to misunderstand the whole argument of PC shooters being better. Pretty much all conversation on this topic boil down to: More online options and freedom on PC, kb/m is a more responsive and accurate control method for FPS games, graphically PC games can be superior often thanks to mods. PC gamers for the most part do not give a damn about exclusives. Games are games. Its only SW people who fight over whats better based on the number of exclusives.

I'm addressing the whole pc fps are more advanced/better/etc. It's obvious that fps controls on console shooters work more than well and is a matter of preference between that and keyboard/mouse.....right? lol.

So essentially same old generic "let's play pretend" arguement. Ahh....

Pointing is rude.

In any case, I'm sure there is more than just STALKER and Crysis in the FPS department for PCs.

Better multiplayer on PC, by far. When a console has a multiplayer game as good as Red Orchestra, please respond back.

They ARE more advanced, even Crysis 2 is getting downraged because of multiplat development. But whether that makes console FPS worse or not, that's entirely up to one's personal preferences

Like which? My point is that the pc doesn't really have any top-tier first person shooters that consoles don't have

I like playing on a controller/console better but when I want to do real pvp I will go the m/kb/PC route. I am just saying for hardcore FPS m/kb is better

*looks at tc post, laughs*

goes the other way around aswell? does it not? I can name 3 pc exclusive fps shooters in my head right now, not counting crysis (Stalker, shattered horizon, and Killing floor (granted altho it is considered a full game, I see it as a mod, still it competes with console shooters very nicely).

I also love how you pretty much threw out an oppinion, with no evidence.

Let us take an example, head to IGN, and look at the "5 things to make MW2 better" snippet... it sumps it up pretty well, why pc fps games are usually better.

1) P2p, it doessnt work, never has, Ive seen so many players having problems with a p2p fps game, and if anyone thinks above 100 ms is acceptable you never playiedon a dedicated server.(p2p works great in rpgs, and other non twitchbased games tho). The people saying that only a few people have problems with p2p are either stoned, or never tryied anything else. Since the daily threads on most gaming boards are about bi*ching and moaning of the lag.

2) Admins, these are a good thing you know, a controled envioment, goes well with dedicated servers, which puts everyone on a more level playingfield.

3) Access to modding, I just love how some people underplay this ^^ "Modding is too hard to figure out" well it is easy, just jump into a dedicated server and the server usually does the rest.

4) Bigger, better, way more optimised game anyone? BFBC2 comes to mind, as the most recent to hit the shelves. the games generally offer way more in choice, and ability to alter things to your liking (and I do not like 30 fps fps games), you can pretty much make the game act as youwant it to be.

-These are the mp section of why PC fpsgames are darn good... want to go try tackeling Sp?

Oh snap :o forgot about armaII ^^ (well aa3 aswell if you have to be picky :P)

I don't have an issue using a controller or kb/m. My problem is when developers add a ton of auto-aim or aim-assist to a game. I get it, dual analog isn't as accurate or responsive as kb/m. Just PLEASE give me the option to turn it off. I've been playing the Bad Company 2 demo and I turn the aim-assist off and turn my sensitivity up. I don't see the problem. If you can't aim with dual analog and you're only slightly better with kb/m you probably can't aim in the first place.

Sorry, a little off topic.
