I kinda doubt the PC could even play MGS4...

The PS3 has a piece of equipment that no pc would dream of having and that is the cell procesor, its the main technology that drives the PS3 to play MGS4 with all of its high textures. Even with the PCs new equipment and graphics chip, it probably could play MGS4 as smoothly or beautifully as the PS3 can. That is probably why that MGS4 will NEVER be on any other console or PC, because they just cant handle the game. I truly belive that MGS4 is the most graphcally advanced game ever made to this point. Just another reason why the PS3 is not only superior to all other consoles, but to expensive PCs as well.

Depends at what task though.

For most gaming purposes, the Cell has proven itself inferior to most Dual Core CPUs.

A low-end dual-core and a 7800GTX should be enough for this non HD game.
