but never seem to mention the facts its only half the price of the other consoles

of course its going to sell well.....for now....its cheaper.
now in a year when the other two systems have price drops

Man, another sour grapes thread. Whats the problem with the Wii price. $250 with Wii Sport. Is it because your overprice console is threaten and few bought it. If you can purchase a PS3, why not purchase Wii60 as the better alternative.Zaistev_basic

I love how anti-nintendo gamers try to come up with lame excuses to explain why the wii is kicking their favorite console's a$$ in sales. I mean the reason it's selling so well COULDN'T be because it is a fun console with an impressive library of games right? I mean that's just ridiculous. :P

well it was in reference to a year from now, when nintendo will not be able to produce the gta4's, the mass effects, the assassins creeds, and all the true next gen games. nintendo will have to bank on the very simple, graphically sub par, quirky games they are now building their library and reputation on.flood

9th Cooking Mama rip off!!!??? There have only been 2 games.

Also, the gamecube was less expensive then the PS2 and Xbox from day 1, and someone already mentioned this but the GC was 100 at one time, while the PS2 was still 200 (or somewhere near there).

look there is no way of knowing when PS3 will have a price drop. They will work as hard as they can to cost reduce the PS3 and then they will offer the savings to consumers when they think they need to.
