I love JRPG's but don't see any on the 360 that appeal to me

I admit 360 miraculously has gained the upper hand this gen in terms of JRPGs but seriously I see none that appeals to me. Maybe thats because PS3 has the most important JRPGs this gen yet again along with the support of Level5 who undoudtedly are one of the best Japanese developers when it comes to JRPG's. The only thing I will miss this Gen is DQ which has now gone to the Wii, being a DQ fan I may actually end up picking up a Wii for that particular game. The 360 on the other hand has no JRPGs that I am intersted in, Last Remnant, meh it just looks like something SquareEnix are doing to get familiar with the Unreal Engine. Star Ocean, couldn't care less. On the other hand Blue Dragon looks intersting but I can't warrant a purchase for that game. I'll take Final Fantasy 13, Final Fantasy vs13 and White Knight Story over 30 of 360's JRPG's any day.

So all I have to say is that 360 may have more JRPG's but PS3 still has the upper hand in terms of killer-app JRPG's, can any of you honestly say that Star Ocean 4, Last Remant etc are killer-app titles..?.... thought not.

You need to get a DS.

All the "killer app JRPGs" aren't even out yet...

DQ 9 is on the ds not the Wii, and theres a little thing called a blog, use it.

If you are really interested in Dlue Dragon you should give it a chance. I loved it. (even though it recieved some crappy reviews)

I'd rather play 2 tri-ace games in 2008 than 1 l-5 game in 2010, even if I do love every single L-5 game (yes, even professor layton and dark cloud 2).

Besides, IU is the most important JRPG of the gen, it seems to destroy the myths about JRPG and bring an insane amount of evolution to the genre.

As per Star Ocean 4 not being a killer app, well, Til The End Of Time was a killer app, and sold over a million units, that's a major RPG in anyone's eyes.

Well last gen my favourite JRPGs were FF10 and 12, DQ8, Dark Cloud, Dark Chronicles, Rogue Galaxy. My favourite JRPG developers are Level5 and Square Enix and it looks like JRPG's I loved last year will be on the PS3 this year, apart from DQ. The Wii is looking interesting to me due to DQ Swords.

My point is you arent even giving these new JRPGS a try, how could you possibly know if you like them or not? You claim to be a fan of the genre and yet those are some pretty solid looking rpgs yet you pretty much brush them asidebecause they arent on ps3.

let me know when games like White knight story and FF13 actually get a release date.

Well since the ps2 was the only console with all the jrpgs, of course youre probably going to go with the ps3 but Rogue Galaxy was not all that it had horrible dungeons, why must level 5 do horrible dungeons in all thier games. you want DQ Swords ehh.

If you say you love Sqaure Enix then Last Remnant is coming out this year on the 360.

I can honestly tell you that if MGS4, FF13/vs13, WKS, Tekken 6, GOW3 were on the 360 I would have had no reason to up a PS3 :|

I bet that 360 gamers would give up 3 exclusive JRPG's in order to get FF13 so why are you saying that FF13 is not better that multiple 360 JRPGs.

Seriously with the price of Blue Dragon and Eternal Sonata used nowadays anybody who calls themselves a JRPG fan doesnt have an excuse, at least give them a try, im working my way through BD now, and whilst its nothing special, im a big fan of JRPGS and its keeping me entertained, i can obviously understand how this game wouldnt interest your average gamer, but its worth a shot for anybody big into RPGs.

I dont have Lost Odd yet, but i plan on getting it at weekend, from what i hear its pretty solid if not the best JRPG this gen, thats not to mention the JRPGs and WRPGs coming out, or that are already out, 360 has an amazing RPG Line UP.

My biggie is going to be FF13 for PS3 obviously, but there are lots of games to keep me occupied untill release.

Blue Dragon and Trusty Bell look intersting and I do feel appeal for them but I can't justify a purchase since they are new titles, I will always buy a console for titles I trust like Tekken or FF or MGS for example. Sure I give new titles a try but I will never buy a new console for new IP's.

Your main thesis is that the jrpg's on the ps3 are flat out BETTER than those on 360. When i and others call you on your bluff and ask how would you know that considering none are released, you respond with "But you guis would trade 3 rpgs for FF13 and you know it!"

Listen, I can accept you saying that you prefer the titles coming out on the PS3, but I would find it alot more credible if 2 things happened:

1) you simply said you prefer the PS3 JRPGs, rather than saying that no JRPGs on the 360 interest you. Those statements are not the same thing, and someone who loves JRPGs having NO interest in anything on the 360 is simply not believable (except through fanboy goggles)

2) You refrained from calling unreleased (hell, not even finished) games "better" than anything currently on the market. You don't, and can't, know that. You may think they have better potential, but to state flatly that they are better than all the JRPGs on the 360 when they don't even exist yet is textbook fanboy.
