We are speaking of monthly sales figures. Ps3 got owned in monthly sales when comparing both this Febraury and last February.

It's noticeable that the X360 was severely limited in availability on december 2005, while the PS3 was starting to fill demand by then (PS3 resale prices were low at that point). Outside of the month of december, a supply-constrained 360 beat the PS3 in the other three months, despite having been available for less time in november, and the PS3 having nearly no supply problems in january and february.
