In my opinion you'll have more replay value with Halo 3's multiplayer than both MGS4 and MGO combined. You should get a 360 first and save up and buy a PS3 when they're on sale again this holiday. You'll be good.

he said neutral opinion. you're one of the biggest fanboys in sw
ok with the summer who already starde i just got a new job and i want to buy a next gen console but i like halo 3 and metal gear i will like even more . So Basiclly what i am asking for is can anybady can give good reason and well explained why should i buy a console over a other one Kilagame16Avoid the rush, get both. That way you will not miss any exclusives. plus you can buy the multi plats, on which ever console has the best version. Both are great, and have great games. If I were you, I would buy the PS3 now, and the 360 in August when the jasper chips come out.

I really want to be moore of an @ss to you, but I decided not to. Don't see how it is so hard for people making decisions.
If you can't get both, then get a 360. MGS4 is great, but 360 simply has more games to play. Millennium_KingThis. If you like Halo, you will probably end up wasting away hours and hours online. And if you get bored with it, there are bunch of older games you can get cheap now.
get a PS3. its the best deal by far as you get bluray and wifi + free online, all things 360 doesn't offer for the same price! + 360 is crap hardware that basically is guaranteed to rrod on you a some time.
And you do not want to miss MGS4, that game is so amazing.
Where do you get your information from? guaranteed to RROD on you? Lol. You need help fan boy. And MGS4 i won't loose any sleep missing that movie.get a PS3. its the best deal by far as you get bluray and wifi + free online, all things 360 doesn't offer for the same price! + 360 is crap hardware that basically is guaranteed to rrod on you a some time.

check xbox live .com hardware forums.:) For real does a day go by without someone getting..I doubt it.
where is that guaranee? Also since when is bluray and wifi a reason to buy a gaming console. It is always about the games. SInce the 360 library is stronger and will only get stronger then the 360 would be best.get a PS3. its the best deal by far as you get bluray and wifi + free online, all things 360 doesn't offer for the same price! + 360 is crap hardware that basically is guaranteed to rrod on you a some time.

That's like saying Horrorscopes are real because when people read them, they look for certain things to happen. Granted, it is a problem, but nothing like it used to be.well to be honest most of the great games this gen are multiplat? cod4, gta4, orange box and so on
ps3 is probably the best investment with the blu-ray player being a bonus and I believe has the best line up in 08 and looking to have the best lineup in 09 as well
Metal gear solid 4 is totally amazing and the rest of the year brings, Socom, Resistance 2, Little big planet, Motorstorm 2, Infamous, White knight story, Plus a few others
It used to be 360 now and ps3 in the future but with mgs4 being released it's ps3 now 360 in the past it's time has come and gone.
Wow, seriously? Like no one cares about any games coming out for the 360 anymore because MGS4 came out?well to be honest most of the great games this gen are multiplat? cod4, gta4, orange box and so on

Those numbers would have to be very high, to guarantee the RROD. Each reissue of the 360 lowers the rate of RROD. it's still high around 16%, but with the jasper this fall, it should drop to a livable 2-3%. SHOULD drop, Not guaranteed. LOL, sorry just had to use the reference.[QUOTE="killzowned24"][QUOTE="loftus42"][QUOTE="killzowned24"]Where do you get your information from? guaranteed to RROD on you? Lol. Well we can all beat around the proverbial bush about this system has "blah" and this system does "blah" and so on and so on...
But there is a bottom line here, and it is simply this: If you are a Metal Gear fan, you need to - no, no let me re-phrase that - you have to play MGS4... You have to. Simple. And, in order to do that you will require a PS3 (Heck, if you are a fan of video games period, you must play MGS4...)
Therein lies your answer...
Neutral answer: 360 :)
especially if you have friends with 360s. I've already wasted so much time that i should probably use to look for a job.

I know of a few people who have never had it. And like I said, with the newer consoles that chance is going to be very slim. My elite is cooler then my PS3. My nephews pro is 2 years old and never even hiccuped. So the whole RROD is not as big as claimed. google it, it is well known.I made up my mind and my paycheck is on the way i am gonna pick up a psp and a ps3 ill pick up a 360 when it will be so cheap it will be a joke so i can play the exclusive i missed on but i am too much of a mgs fan i already past on mgs3 but these day are over plus it been a while halo 3 was out and the community wont shrink that much in about 2-3 years cuz it will still be one of the greatest game on 360
Thanks everybady for the help
well. its hard to get a neutral opinion here.
my tip to u is to research alot on both consoles. find out everything u can about both of them.
eg pros of ps3: hardware reliability /// cons: few exclusive games worth buying
pros of 360: big game library.//// cons: RROD.
also, consider ur friends. do they hav 360 or ps3? u would most probably want to play with them don't you.
anyway, MOST of the good games out there are multiplats ( rockband, gta4). with a few exceptions for exclusive games ( mgs4, halo3 so on..)
after u have weighed all the factors, u can most probably decide for urself. =)
i have both, but prefer the 360 because i've got more use out of it
i only have 3 PS3 games .. uncharted, ninja gaiden sigma and MGS4
i have a lot more on 360, inlcuding multiplats
so ultimately it comes down to the library you like most, but ofc take into consideration future releases
Which Library of games are you most interested in?
Do you watch more movies than you play games?
Do you want a tacked on online service or a full featured one?
Have you been more partial to Sony exclusives or MS exclusives?
Honestly these are the questions to ask yourself!
