******* neogaf. Bunch of stuck up....HoobinatorThey're just a nite club with a dress code... they wont just let any scruffy bum off the street in.
Yeah and also most of them accept that the Wii is dominating. They dont tolerate stupidity as much over there. They try and refrain from heavily picking on a system because it could upset someone and result in a ban.

I was actually a poster there for about 2 weeks. I said some nasty things and left, never logged into the site again.
Educated Mature Gamers buy either Ps3s or 360s never Wiis, The Wii is simply not meant for that kind of people.AgentA-Mi6
Thanks for the insult.
Educated Mature Gamers buy either Ps3s or 360s never Wiis, The Wii is simply not meant for that kind of people.AgentA-Mi6Yeah it is. Educated Mature gamers like to get drunk on weekends too. That's when the Wii takes over. I'm an older gamer, and I have some friends with Wii's, it's their party console. It really is a social machine. It also has great games too. My girl just got one (her broke ass brother gave it to her since he owes her money). She still wants a PS2 or a PS3, but I'm looking into good games for it, since I technically got one for free haha.. SMG possibly my first rent from Gamefly.
Had they not taken a dive and chased after the "casuel" market then I would have all the respect for them that I could muster.
If the Wii had the specs of the 360 or PS3, cost $400 and had the awesome 3rd party support then I would be a Wii owner hands down.
As it is there were 3 games last year (one of which was also on the GC) that I had any interest in. And looking at Nintendo's upcoming release lists it doesn't look much better.
Maybe next-gen.
There is a diffrence between older, mature people who have never gamed BEFORE. A lot of random people, with little to no video game experience before hand love the Wii. Why? It's easy to pick up and the idea of motion sensing is more appealing.
The average mature GAMER would prefer PC games or a 360/PS3. Why? Overall the quality of games is better, there is less "trash" games, not to mention the higher grade tech used.
This all depends on what you view MATURE as. Do you mean mature as in, old? Or mature as in their personality? You can have a very mature 17 year old and a very immature 30 year old.
It's all subjective, don't let anyone else force their views on you no matter what the subject might be. You should always make your own decisions and respect the decisions of others... It's common courtesy. This is why these forums are usually so bad, they are filled with IMMATURE people who usually don't know what they are talking about. Most posters here seem to think they have some sort of degree in business or marketing, let the real professionals handle that....

You would think that people would understand what stereotyping is.. and why its a logical fallacy.
Don't get me wrong i respect the fact that nintendo made an excellent business decision with the Wii...but as an owner of their console I must say I am a bit disappointed by the fact that they don't really deliver in the games department compared to the Ps3 or x360...
Wii Sports
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid 3
Mario Kart
Zelda
and...SSBB
practically the gamecube line-up of decent games...including RE4!!!
It's not even like I would ever consider getting the Wii version of any multi-plat game!
i quote vaugely from a sig i read from some random user " being mature is playing games you enjoy, and not careing what anyone else thinks of you"darkspineslayer
if that's true that's terrible. not that 1 person's sig represents the whole neogaf forums either.
Gaf is a great community. :DBioShockOwnz
Indeed. I tried to register during the Gerstmanngate incident and apparantly my kind of email address wsn't acceptable.
So here I shall remain.

Guess that's what you get when your target audience is split into two groups, one too young to find such message boards, and the other that sophisticated, mature 70-80 crowd.
[QUOTE="Nike_Air"]Yeah and also most of them accept that the Wii is dominating. They dont tolerate stupidity as much over there. The Wii is only dominating in sales ...... to say it is dominating in anything else would be part of that thing that they wouldn't tolerate. That is probably why you bring these comments here instead of on Gaf. Take your BS to Gafand they will likely tear you to shreads andmaybe evengive you a vacation. They try and refrain from heavily picking on a system because it could upset someone and result in a ban.

I would've appreciated this post (because the thread title is fairly accurate) if the OP hadn't made himself out to be a complete jerk. Anyone who doesn't like the Wii is not automatically immature, and just because someone doesn't think it's the best console ever made doesn't mean they are immediately "below" you.
If you want to make a good topic for discussion, start by not lowering yourself by making direct attacks on people. Ok? Thanks.

you hit the wrong forum, actually I don't ever recall having any of the above in red here inSW....lol, besides anyone who is an "educated gamer"knows that the wii is still a gamecube with a wiimote as controller.

Why thank you sir. It's nice to have someone notice, not only the higher average age and intelligence of most Sheep, but indeed the higher quality of human being. Most Wii owners own, or simply respect at least one other console, and the PC. We are a breed apart.
However, it is not something I feel we should discuss infront of the others. There is no need to point out anyones flaws.

You are absolutely wrong sir, and your generalizations about the Wii and every poster on this whole forum, prove your attempts at thinking went seriously awry. Wouldn't you agree? Perhaps you believe that your generalizations are correct, by proxy meaning that you yourself, as a poster here on System Wars, are not an intelligent poster. I can't argue with you there.
Can you make this easier for me?

I agree with you for once man.
