I only played 3 games I liked this year

Of all the games I bought this yearI only liked 3 Mario Galaxy2, Bayonetta, and Castlevania LOS.Two games I thought about buying that I might like are Vanquished and Enslaved but I can justify $60 for 8 hour games.I've beenwaiting for them to come down in price.

I'm finding it harder and harder to find a gaming experiance that I like. I own two consoles and I'm just not satisfied. I'm sick of liniar action games and shooters. I like games with a lot of creativity in them. Art design drives my gaming experiance. 99% of todays games seriously lack art.

Any sugestions?

Indie games and/or a Wii.

Get some older consoles. They have much larger libraries and a ton of better games available to you. Have you actually tried every game on the platforms you own? You say you have a Wii... have you tried Ivy the Kiwi?? Muramasa: The Demon Blade? Cursed Mountain?

I was more than satisfied in the latter half of this year. The first half was a massive disappointment, but the Wii has definitely remdeemed it.

only games i bought this year pretty much was bad company 2,call of duty black ops,alan wake, medal of honor and gt5 and dead rising 2 and halo reach.goodtobeback

Enslaved goes for like $12-$20 on amazon, sales/ used. You can get Vanquish for under $30 easily. Haters trying to hate. :DBlixxed

Bland maybe, but varied enough to keep things interesting. Chaining powers and weapons together is good fun. Gathering resources, for me at least, is a real drag though. I've got about 20 hours in right now, and I can't wait for this weekend to play again.

The only games i fully enjoyed this year were Alan Wake, Heavy Rain, Starcraft 2, and Black ops

That's probably because Mass Effect 2 really isn't that much of an RPG in the sense that it lacks any real stat buildingor customization. The first Mass Effect is more RPG than the second for sure

I thought there were many great games for every system. More than just three. I'd say try renting a bunch and you'll find many you'll like instead of shelling out a bunch of pennies for only a few games.

Don't expect much from the full game. The environments are extremely bland. You should get Vanquish and Enslaved when the prices come down. Great games :)

GoW III, MAG, BC2, Darksiders, AC:B, ModNation Racers, Heavy Rain. I can't think of any others off the top of my head, but I enjoyed all of these.

@ jdc6305 : Try getting games like Braid, Machinarium, Tales of Monkey Island, Sam & Max series, Limbo (saw a video review a couple of days back and wow...) and Valkyria Chronicles 2 (haven't played it yet but looks really fun). The art style of these games may be just what you're looking for.

Look beyond high budget console games maybe? Now is definitely the time as there's a sale going on at Steam. You don't need a megamaximum computer for most of them. Particularly check out the indie packs.

Also Amazon if you're in the US.

And why don't you own Kirby's Epic Yarn?

I bet most people haven't even tried Yakuza 3. This game is easily one of the best games I have ever played in my life an it didn't even won a single award even though it has so many gameplay elements and the most mature story-line this gen. The story in Yakuza 3 it's so freaking good that it's hard to believe such a game exist and nobody cares. This is like playing Shenmue on steroids! If you thought that Heavy Rain story was good or well dramatized just wait until you try this game cus Yakuza 3 is on a level of its own in this department yet not a single award to be seen, not even a nomination.

Yakuza 3 and Valkyria Chronicles are the most underrated games this gen probably cus they are japanese games. :(
