I realized that Xbox LIVE is really amazing (56k warning really)

So I turned on my 360 to check what demos are out, and I realize Lego Indiana Jones is out, so I downloaded it, and I just realize how superior and advance Xbox LIVE really is.

It was so amazing I decided to take pictures of it in this ordinary day. In no particular order here there are:

heres the Spot Light section that offers videos, games, and free stuff, etc.

there are currently 144 XBL Arcade games and each and every one of them have free trials

heres a picture of what privating chatting is all about

a picture of your friends list and when were the last time they were online, brilliant

custom music that you could play in game

a quick look at the video store, so many selections

so many network and studios supporting the 360

a quick look at some high def movies available now

the market place, I noticed that free ssf2hdr beta!

you can set your 360 online status and windows live messenger to whatever your heart desires.

And the best part, all of these features are available for Xbox LIVE Silver FREE accounts. That's just amazing.

I don't own a 360 but i have to agree it's really cool! :)

this is why i still like live over psn despite psn being free and live being 50 a year (not that much if you just use christmas money every year). the xmb and psn are very clean yet very boring. sure live maybe clunky and have to much stuff at some points. but things like how the friends menu is and what not i like.

You don't need to pay to enjoy any of these features, you pay to being able to play games online and being able to download some content a bit earlier, that's it.

I didn't buy an adapter. I bought box of 1000 foot ethernet cable and it was really cheap. And I can use it for anything.

youd be suprised on how many new homes these days have ethernet jacks.

Everything you posted is actually free to all Xbox Live users. So even if you're not into "online Gaming", you get access to pretty much everything for free.

For me it's the opposite, hardly anyone I know use wireless :P. With that said the price of that adapter is just crazy.

And BTW TC, good job pointing out that achievements arent just numbers. They all have different but cool images that are integrated into your profile. IMO, thats just as cool as trophies.

Well then they most likely have a lot of money and wouldn't mind or are just too lazy to do it or figure out how. Wired connections are better anyway.

another thing about silver is i have to wait a week after gold to download demos.. and since all i use my 360 for these days is demos its like

all the multimedia features are nice but they just don't do it for me if i don't wanna be milked further for stuff like cables shows which would cost you more to download TDS and colbert on a nightly basis than it would be just to buy cable, though stuff like HD movies are cool.. not that i use it

the best thing ms did to support the 360 and live was the standard headset, i also enjoy the custom soundtrack feature

gotta admit the ingame menu is pretty decent too

but for all that damn advertising they bombard you with, youd think they'd atleast make it so the silver wasn't completely crippled

its not like they're making gold BETTER and a better value by crippling silver.. if anything i just refuse to buy gold more

heh i remember when i first got my 360, i tried not to sign up for the free gold trial but did anyways and didnt realize i had online until like the last 3 days

And pretty much of all of them are there to notify you about new content up the marketplace which isn't really a bad thing. But yeah an option to be able to hide them would be nice.

True, but 99% of them contribute some sort of content to the marketplace (like a movie where you can download gamer pics and themes for it). Some are just advertisements for new content so people don't miss out on them.
