What?Anyway, I'm twelve hours into Fallout 3 and I actually kind of like it, much to my surprise since I hated TES IV. I'm mostly doing side missions right now; I've barely started the main quest. It does seem to pick up once you get into it and get used to the gameplay mechanics. Traveling can be a little confusing, though. It seems that to get to some areas it's required that you go through underground passageways as all the roads leading to that area are blocked off with mounds of rubble. I still haven't found a way into the Museum of History. I can't even noclip into the area since the game loads the game world as chunks; it's not like Oblivion where you could fly into the sky and see the entire game world.
I'm not going to come to conclusions just yet on how I like the game, though. I thought Oblivion was a pretty okay game for the first dozen or so hours I played that, too, but it later devolved into boredom.
Set a waypoint on the map to the museum, make it your active quest, and then pull up the "local map" in your Pipboy. The local map will show you which doors you need to go through in the underground to get to your destination. In fact, if you use the local map, it will essentially walk you through the main quest without forcing you to wander the tunnels aimlessly.
That's useful.I tried reading the signs in the game world to navigate and it worked for the most part. The times where it didn't work were when the signs were made rusty, dirty, worn-out, and unreadable.
