I agree.

Why you would make a consumer good like this--a console, an optical disk player, a computer case, and so on--anything other than a cube/box is beyond me.

I mean, I get it, artistic creativity and all that...but this is not a sculpture or even a piece of artwork by any stretch of imagination, nor should it be. It should be black, functional, and discreet. It should be elegant in its simplicity.

Yeah it's not looking like either, they are both dev kits and the home consoles never look like them.

I’m not really into having my electronics designed with any odd curvatures and angles. I prefer simplicity myself which is what I’m hoping for.

@Tessellation: I agree the dev kit is ugly as sin. But I still suspect it will look good.

I love the way XSX looks. I suspect I’ll like the way the PS5 looks.

I do not care what it looks like. If it has games that I want to play on it, that is all that matters to me.

I really don't care how a console looks. Just give me a dark option so that it doesn't pops up too much and I'm happy.

I don't care what it looks like at the end of the day as long as it has the games I want to play that's all that matters. With that said I highly doubt its going to look like either one of those you posted, the first one is a dev kit which the home consoles never look like, the second I have no idea what that is.

As long as it has sufficient cooling and doesn't sound like a blow dryer I don't really care what it looks like to be perfectly honest.

1- no PS ever has look like it's Dev kit counterpart.

2-The overheating rumors were bring by Windows Central.

If I would not take a rumor about the PS as true will be one coming from windows central.

Is like PS site claiming the series X is weak.

I don't know, putting the controller's left analogue stick where human thumbs rest naturally would be a better change.

@FinalFighters: I saw this render and it looks awesome.

I agree, that's a slick PS5 console. Even DuelSense controller matches it's sleekness but I still like how XSX looks when it comes to cooling solutions.

I heard Sony went to Domino's to see if they wanted the pizza warmer rights for when Sony market the PS5, I mean Sony has to use someone's pizza :P

I'd be more concerned that whatever design they go with can handle the heat. If they have to prioritize functionality over aesthetics then I support that.
