come to consoles. so yea chances are diablo 3 will be on the 360.

Blizzard won't make a game for a platform unless the controls fit perfectly. You can't make the controls for D3 fit on consoles, at least not in the glorious majesty that Blizzard demands.
Stop making excuses and just do a minor upgrade of your PC so you to can play it.
You guys need to consider the fact that Blizzard hasn't released a game in many years. Things have changed now. There are tons of console users who switched from PC gaming and porting to the 360 is easy as hell. bungie93
Blizzard isn't worried about not having enough PC gamers to play their games. Porting to the 360 is easy as hell I agree but you can't port controls. Blizzard themselfs said if their games don't feel right when you play them they arn't comming out.

Franko_3
a top-down isometric rpg on a console? Think about the nightmare it would be with a controller
yeah, a game like that would never work on consolescome to consoles. so yea chances are diablo 3 will be on the 360.

Too bad Valve is completely irrelevant considering Blizzard makes the game.

except that
-Valve never had a long history of PC-only development
-Valve never said HL isn;t coming to consoles, in fact Dreamcast port was annouced pretty quickly
to sum up: your post is an epic failure :)

Yeah because Blizzard is going in the poor house staying PC only.
[QUOTE="darkslider99"]That's Valve..this is Blizzard :| What was the last console game they even release? Starcraft 64 :?dabear
They did toy around with StarCraft: Ghost, didn't they?
yeah, but they hired 3rd party dev to do it, then they bought the dev and then when they csnceled the game they've closed down every console team they had and either fired people or moved them into their PC teams. This doesn;t exsctly bode well for console Blizzard games, doesn;t it?[QUOTE="darkslider99"]That's Valve..this is Blizzard :| What was the last console game they even release? Starcraft 64 :?dabear

And it sucked horribly compared to PC version.
Oh yeah? Well, PC has Crysis and Steam!
Not sure what that even means, but it seems there can't be a PC thread without those two things being mentioned as if it trumps all other comments.

Well Crysis has the best graphics out there and Steam is an online gaming service that is free. So basically one could say that PC has the best graphics and the best onine service by bringing those two up.
Why would you want to play D3 on a 360 controller? Also could they escape MS live?ScreaminFish
I agree. How could they ever replicate rapidly clicking a mouse button millions of times on a controller? I don't see how its possible.

Yeah, and Battle For Middle Earth 2 scored an 8.6 on the 360.
That doesn't change the fact that they are both hugely inferior to their PC counterparts. If it wasn't inferior,it would have received the same score.
If someone played Diablo on consoles without ever playing it on PC,they would wonder what all the hype is about. That basically sums it up.

They could do it if the 360 controller had buttons. Oh, well.
[QUOTE="jack_russel"]Compared to a 9.6 on PC I would call an 8.3 crappy. 8.3 is crappy? That's a AA score! You Hermits are such elitists.Jade_Monkey

The real difference is in the mouse movement. You can move your mouse around the screen a lot faster than the 360 controller and could then do pretty much any game function much faster. Oh, and your PC won't RROD while your playing it.

There is a lot more involved in combat than just bashing the mouse button repeatedly. On a micromanaging level, the sheer depth of combat in a Diablo game is unrivaled. With the edition of enchantments which allow for varied strategies and destructible environments, a controller wouldn't be able to achieve the same kind of micromanaging that a mouse can. Thats why Blizzard stated that, "The only way we will even consider bringing Diablo 3 to consoles is if we can replicate the same kind of combat as on the PCs". Its not an easy task.[QUOTE="Jade_Monkey"][QUOTE="jack_russel"]Compared to a 9.6 on PC I would call an 8.3 crappy. 8.3 is crappy? That's a AA score! You Hermits are such elitists.jack_russel
When a game drops 1.3 points just by being on a different platform I'd call that massively inferior. If they made D3 for consoles it would be a great game, just not even close to as good as the PC version.

Kinda funny that they think that AA is crappy when they have 0 AAAA all time.beast667Kind of hard when you have five times as many AAes (in this generation alone) as the leading console and the most AAA titles. Standards are much higher on the PC. There are dozens of games on the PC that could have easily made AAAA on consoles.

Blizzard is know for making games only if they are the best they can be. They wouldn't put a game that is already the best it can be on a platform that makes it worse. Blizzard has enough money to care more about reputation then a little more green.
And why not just buy the PC version if you know it is the superior version? Not like they are making it inaccessible to mainstream PCs.
why does that matter if it's still a good game at the end of the day? It's Inferior but still great.jack_russelNot to Blizzard. If it's not great they won't make it, very good isn't good enough :)
