I saw these PS3s today

The picture was taken at the Kaneohe Marine Corps Exchange store in Hawaii.

I thought I'd check out the electronics department because the store manager had made the announcement that "We have plenty of PS3 systems and games in stock" over the intercom of the store. Sure enough, 7 PS3s sat where they've been sitting for the past 3 weeks. They also had 5 systems behind the counter.

But I noticed one thing.....the Xbox 360 right next to it only has 6 systems sitting out. And there were no 360s behind the counter. Hmmm.........

I don't see why all people tend to equate their own personal experience into a generalization for everything that is occurring.  I don't think that PS3 is selling all that great either.  But sampling one store =/= all stores as many others have said.

I think you're comparing apples and oranges here... orange juice didn't come onto the market four months ago.
Actually I feel kind of like you're comparing hand grenades and orange juice - one should be easily found on a store shelf, the other shouldn't.

errr... what is the purpose of this thread? there are probably 1,000,000 ps3 and 6 xbox 360 units in that store the day the photo was taken and they never sold a wii, we dont know it might be a possibility.

I 100% agree. The Wii is the best system though, so it's not a big surprise.

The PS3 is getting owned!

Yeah well I believe this is common knowledge by now that you can easily purchase a PS3, so why post it?  You rarely see people posting pictures of 360s lying around in stores in Japan,

nice picture (are you a photographer), i to saw some ps3's at the store once, they had a few at best buy where i got mine.  i guess they are not selling well, if they were i guess they would be out of stock.:roll:

Nope, these systems are lying there, easily able to be jacked. But on the other hand this is on a Military base, if you get caught stealing there its such a huge offense so I don't think the store worries about it much.

And the HDDVD drives aren't new, they've been there for a couple months in that same spot. I know the manager, he told me he just put the "New Item" sign on them to try to clear some inventory.  :lol:
