At 1280x720, FFXIV runs smooth on my AMD Mobility Radeon HD 5730 (on the desktop, it's known as AMD Radeon HD 5570).

FFXIV not friendly on older mid-range NVIDIA GPUs i.e. runs slow on NVIDIA Geforce GT335M (72 CUDA processors).

While I have no doubts the game is bad, I doubt MS didn't want the game because of that. They've had plenty of bad games, even some of their exclusives were bad. Bad sometimes means niche also.

The first one sold 5-6 million in a year and a half or so. Then it kinda died off as far as I remember. Never heard of any other sales numbers.

I'm sure if they fix a lot of whatever was wrong in the first one that they could have another 6+ million seller. I don't think any retail MMO has pulled numbers like that since WoW launched in 2004, so it was quite impressive.
