[QUOTE="Gzus666"]so you are comparing game movies of UT3 against a strange pic of Crysis, and a gameplay pic? Crysis destroys this game, get over it.numba1234Those are the latest ut3 pics. I'm pretty sure they are gameplay. Bash me all you want, but ut3 looks amazing.

those pics are in game...wait in till u see the tripod vehical in ut3.
in game engine, not in game. jesus, watch the gameplay video, its a nice looking game, but has nothing on crysis. the depth of field on crysis is enough to destroy any FPS coming out this year. i have never seen a game with depth of field, that was the most astounding feature ive ever seen in a game since realistic physics

Crysis looks better but that's because its in 10dx.
I love the physics engine in Crysis too.
But for gameplay, which crysis lacks a bit, I'll say UT3.
The thing is, from all the UT3 previews recently, the game is way too dark, the characters blend in with the surroundings way too much (They overdid grundge, the characters look like Plastacine) .... it just doesnt look nice in motion.Meu2k7Thats dissapointing to hear, because I tried the UT04 demo yesterday and now I really want to play UT3. I'm sure they can fix it though, before release ( btw what is the release date).

Could be bad quality videos, because some levels its fine.
Release said at E3 to be in November for PC/PS3 , 2008 for 360.
you should've used the Crysis picture with the water, and mountains, In terms of scale and physics, I would go with crysis, interiors will be better in UT3They will not be. Interiors in Crysis look closer to reality than any other game out there.

This is the interior of the aircraft carrier.
They'll both play amazing, and share time in my PC, but Crysis is technically superior, no doubt.evilbarbariani agree with this guy.^
I prefer UT3s style of visuals - and both of them are extremely impressive, but overall, Crysis has the edge in scale. In terms of detail however, the UT3 levels are cram-packed with complex geometry and impressive textures.
Detail-wise it is debatable but in terms of actual technology in the games... Crysis is 5 times UT3. People seem to forget that Crysis is 100% interactive and destructible(can destroy any object, can pick up anything thing (including people and chickens)), has more advanced physics and hassoft particles, godrays, time of day and real-time lighting. UT3 is just pure details, with very, very little environmental interactivity, very few actual soft particles and no godrays. Crysiswill bedemanding on the hardware side of things, but it is still VASTLY superior technologically. horrowhip
that brings another question, will crysis have weather??

Yeah, it'll change the environment too like water and foliage IIRC.

As stated above, it will have weather. I will expand on it though.
It will have dynamic weather meaning that tornadoes can come up, thunderstorms can approach, the wind can pick up, can snow(after the Aliens freeze everything), there may be a Tsuname (in one of the screenshots, there is a very, very large wave that is frozen in place). It will have fully dynamic weather.

Bungie releases screens of Halo 3 and people say that its CGI and not in-game, yet Epic releases screens of UT2K7 and people say its in-game and not CGI. Yet Bungie proves that there's are in-game and Epic doesn't. Go figure
